Adaieh's P.O.V.
The bell ring, signaling that it was the end of school. Everybody rushed out the class. I waited a while, took my time so I wouldn't get pushed around. But even though I waited, the halls was still crowed with kids. I just don't understand why people, more likely the girls, will stand right infront of the door, knowing that it's more people to come, and take their sweet time to move away from it.
Today's Friday and it came fast. Everytime I think about the party I get butterflies. I'm excited yet nervous. I don't go to parties so me going to this one makes me happy. I wonder what's gonna happen as soon as I step foot in the house. But the same thought also makes me nervous.
What if something wrong happens? Like someone spilling something on me or Becca kicking me out because we don't like each other or me making a complete fool of myself. Actually the Becca part is at the bottom of my list of worries. I doubt she'd see me or, better yet, even care. Pretty sure she wouldn't cause a big scene of kicking me out and humiliating me infront of everybody when she could be hooking up with somebody.
After a while, I made it outside. Good thing I got my backpack before I went to gym. The way the halls are crowed... I'll probably just be getting to my locker. Trust me, it's way harder to get your things out of your locker if you keep getting bumped and pushed. Learned that from experience.
I spotted Sarah on her phone leaning against a tree. I made my way to her quietly. She seem distracted enough to not see nor hear me.
"BOO!"
She didn't flinch.
"Nice try." She said in a plain voice as she typed away.
"How did you not get scared? I was quite as a mouse!"
"Try as loud as a rock band that are on a sugar high." She smiled at me.
"What? I was not!"
"What can I say?" She shrugged. "I have special powers." She began to walk.
I rolled my eyes and followed her. Once I caught up to her, her mouth went on overdrive.
"So got any ideas on what you're gonna wear? I thinking my color is gonna be all black. I think I have some black pumps in my closet so I won't be buying an extra pair. I hope I find somebody. I was thinking that we should go get ready at my house so it'll be easier to sneak pass you're 'nanny' and if I get drunk it'll be a shorter drive for you. Which also reminds me, I'm giving you my keys 'cause knowing me, I'm probably gonna meet somebody and take the car and leave you stranded. Just keeping it real. Plus I know you won't even think about touching a bottle of alcohol so you won't. be getting drunk. Also b-"
"I have a question." I interupted her. She was mostly talking about nothing anyway.
"Ask it."
"Why are we going to the park?"
She went silent for a while. Is it that hard of a question? I'm just curious.
"No reason. Uhh, just wanted to spend some girl time with you. Like actually talk to you, you know?" She spoken quietly, like she was scared to say the wrong words.
"Okay. Talk about what?"
"You gotta wait til the park to talk about it. If we talk about it now then it won't be no reason to go to the park."
"Okay."
She got quite after that. Maybe I shouldn't have asked. Now her mood is a whole 360 from earlier. Curse my curiosity!
