Still outside the school
MARINETTE: Oh right. This is Nathaniel, an old friend of mine. And Nathaniel, this is the Student Council President, Adrien Agreste.
Adrien: (Adrien walks up and holds out his hand). Pleased to meet you.
NATHANIEL: (grabs Marinette's arm) We're leaving. (drags Marinette away)
MARINETTE: (to Adrien) Wait! Sorry, Adrien. I have to go, but thank you helping me. (to Nathaniel) You didn't have to rude. Will you let go? That hurts.
(Time skip) Monday morning. Marinette's bedroom at Alya's house
(Nathaniel opens the curtains)
MARINETTE: What do you want? (covers herself with a pillow)
NATHANIEL: (removes the pillow) What we want is for you to get up.
MARINETTE: You know you can't just waltz in here without knocking.
NATHANIEL: You're snoring drowned out my knocking.
MARINETTE: (Marinette gasps) I don't snore.
NATHANIEL: Come on. Alya already made breakfast, and yours is getting cold. (leaves the room.
MARINETTE: (Marinette sees him smiling) Get out!! (throws her pillow at the door)
After getting dresses, Marinette heads downstairs to see Alya and her sisters eating.
"Hey, Marinette," Jane said.
MARINETTE: Thanks for breakfast, Alya.
ALYA: Stay here when you're done eating, Marinette.
MARINETTE: What? Why?
ALYA: Nath and I think it'd be better if you stayed somewhere where you'd be safe.
MARINETTE: Guys, I know you want to protect me, but I need to find answers to what happened to my mother, and staying here won't be of any help.
NATHANIEL: Marinette, it's for the best. If Lord Nesta's servants think you know something that Sabine already knew, then it'll only put you and anyone close to you in danger, including us. We promise you, we will find Sabine, but in the meantime, you need to stay out of danger.
MARINETTE: (Marinette looks down for a minute) All right.
ALYA: (smiles) Great. Can you help me with my sisters' lunches?
MARINETTE: Oh, sure.
After everyone leaves, Marinette stays inside the house and draw some designs down in her sketchbook. After she was done, she chose to watch some TV to pass the time.
(The doorbell rings, and Marinette answers it)
MARINETTE: Can I help you?
THE MESSENGER: Yes, my dear. It's a letter from Count Agreste. Mrs. Césaire is asked to read it.
MARINETTE: (Marinette takes the letter) Thank you. I'll be sure to give it to her.
After Marinette places the letter on the counter for Mrs. Césaire to read, she returns to the TV.
(A few minutes later)
Marinette hears what sounded like a car crash, and went outside to check, but there wasn't anything there.
