Chapter 11 (part 1)

The next day

Marinette wakes up to see that everything was just how it was when she fell asleep. Realizing that Nathaniel and Alya would be hungry when they woke up, Marinette went out to see if she could find some food and drinks. The cafeteria was closed after the festival was over, but there was a nearby vending machine, so she used some of her money to get 3 sodas from it.

She saw a teacher's lounge open, and went inside to see if anyone could help her. Instead, no one was in there, but she did find some apples. After she grabbed some of the apples, she began to make her way back to the infirmary. As she walked through the school, she began to see flashbacks of everything that happened to her over the months.

MARINETTE (to herself): I'd better get back to Alya and Nathaniel. I don't want them to get worried. (Runs off)

Elsewhere on the top of a skyscraper

Adrien was looking over at the view, while looking his king crown. A short time later, he heard footsteps, and noticed Nino, Urie, Mage, and Shiki walking up to him.

(Adrien places the king crown in his pocket)

SHIKI: Well, look who we found.

MAGE: (Throws a piece of stone) Catch. A souvenir from Berlin.

ADRIEN: What about the exorcists?

MAGE: We crushed them, duh.

URIE: Did you expect anything else?

ADRIEN: I see.

MAGE: Are you kidding me right now?!?

ADRIEN: Not at all. What's up?

MAGE: We want an explanation to why you lied to us and treated us like idiots!

URIE: It makes me wonder what exactly we are to you. Don't worry. We're not going to hold out breathes and expect you to call us friends.

ADRIEN: This is ridiculous. We respect status and tradition. I don't have time to be manipulated by these insignificant emotions of yours.

NINO: I'm glad you brought that up, dude. It reminds me to ask what your plan was.

ADRIEN: Nino, what are you talking about?

URIE: Adrien, we all know the grimoire was never in Berlin. You just didn't want it to end up in our hands, am I right? Or should I say for her to end up in our hands? Our dear, sweet Marinette.

ADRIEN: That's some theory, Urie.

URIE: Are you calling me a liar?

ADRIEN: This is absurd.

SHIKI: So then, you won't mind if I take her?

(Mage growls while Urie appears mad)

SHIKI: The grimoire belongs to the Agreste family. I'm fine with that. I only care about keeping the girl.

MAGE: (grabs Shiki by the shoulder) That ain't happening, you creep!!!

(Shiki jumps away to safety)

MAGE: Marinette's gonna be with me, got it!

(Adrien appears to be angry)

MAGE: I want her laughter, and I want her tears...I want it all!!

URIE: Sorry, but you can't have my butterfly. I won't let you. She's my little angel and pet.

(Adrien gets angrier before jumping in front of them)
