🌜Hello readers, I trust you all were thrilled to see that I didn't kill the twins off. My death count for my series is now up to, including the wolves that were blasted, is now 247! I have been asked if Zeke is dead, the answer is no he isn't. He will reappear at some point, I just won't tell you when. The song goes with, well I'm sure you will figure out when it fits in.🌛
••••••••••••••••••••• KIN'S POV ••••••••••••••••
I can't truly remember the last time I have felt this much hope, or truly any hope at all. We truly have a chance, and as much as I hate to admit it, we owe it to Severin. If it wasn't for him, I don't know if the my beautiful mate would have even awoke, and now he's stronger than I could have ever imagined, his bond to his brother is unbreakable.
I sit and watch them interact with each other, and I can't fight the smile tugging at the corners of my lips. They both came closer to death than anyone has the right to, and yet there they are, both in wolf form, and rolling around the clearing in front of the house like a couple of pups.
I can only think of one moment in my life in which my heart felt this light, and that was the moment Skyler accepted me as a mate. I watch happily as the roll around, and practice attacking and defending. Skyler never had the chance to learn through play as a pup, and I know it hurts Spyke to know every chance he had was nothing like what he was given.
My happiness comes to an abrupt end when I spot Severin hiding slightly in the shadows, and watching the twins. His face is emotionless and blank to anyone but myself, and perhaps Rayven. To me the pain is clear in his eyes, he blames himself for what happened. No one, including the twins have set any blame on him, but my brother has taken full blame for everything, except their recovery. To everyone here their recovery was purely a miracle.
Rayven approaches m from my left side, a smear of fresh blood across his cheekbone, his hair mused as though he was running his hands through it repeatedly. "I have done everything I can, and yet I can not get him to speak. He claims he will only answer to the brothers, and says either set will do." Rayven says tiredly, and runs his fingers through his hair confining my suspicion.
"How long where you in with him?" I inquire, while once again turning to Severin, knowing he could hear our conversation from where he stood. "I have been trying since shortly after we arrived back here, just after leaving the twins recovery room, so it has been 36 hours an still his lips are sealed Kin. I don't know of any other tricks to try."
"Don't you mean tourcher techniques my son?" Severin replies without leaving his post in the far shadows. Rayven laughs lightly before saying, "hey it's all the same to me, you taught me that father." "Good to see you remembered something I taught you all those years ago." The amusement was plain to hear in his voice as he replied, still not looking anywhere but at the twins.
Well if he won't speak to anyone but the brothers, I suppose its time to give him the set he will never forget. "Rayven, get someone to cover our posts, Severin and I have some unfinished business with a certain little hunter.
Without another word Severin walks through the shadows to my side as I turn an walk into the house, and down the stairs to the basement where the hunter is being kept. There is no need to turn the light on when we enter the small storage room in the back, but since I know he has been in complete darkness for the last 36 hours, I flip the light on knowing it causes him pain
"Well little hunter, you wished for a set of brothers, here we are." I spoke loudly, trying to intimidate the hunter sitting in the middle of the damp room, strapped down to a chair with no movement available to him.
