Chapter 11

James POV

Ashlynne and I watched several episodes of Gilmore Girls but she ended up falling asleep during the fourth. I honestly don't really have a problem watching chic-flicks compared to most guys but that's probably because I have a mother, sister and best friend who I have to watch them with all the time.

I look across my bed to see Ashlynne curled up in a ball with a blanket around her. God she is so beautiful. I pick her up gently and take her to her bedroom, tucking her into her bed. Before I walk out I give her forehead a kiss and a loving glance. What are you doing to me Ashlynne Graham?

Ashlynne POV

I wake up in my own bed, trying to remember last night. It was a lot of fun, but I don't remember exactly when I dosed off. That was one of the best sleeps and dreams I've had in a very long time. I look at my clock and notice that I have an hour before we have to leave for school. I get up and walk to the closet looking for something nice to wear. I grab a blue/ peach dress and some nude sandals and put them on. I go to the bathroom and put some make-up on and curl my hair leaving it down.

I walk downstairs to grab some breakfast to find Katie waiting for me. Coincidentally she's wearing something similar to me, a dress with a cream bodice and tan skirt with some nude sandals.

After eating my cereal I join her at the front door.

"You're going to be fine today Ash. Don't let him get to you. You've grown up let him see that." I nod and take a deep breath. Katie grabs my hand and we walk outside towards the car. Let's hope today is better.

The ride to school was good as was most of the day. Austin continuously tried talking to me but I just ignored him. Music class was good, we started practicing, but we are all still going to meet up after school. Gym class was alright. We were just doing some partner exercises (with the opposite gender) so, thanks to James, I was partners with him, Colin and Lucas but never Austin. Now Peyton and I are on our way to pick up some food for the night, while the boys go and shower at Lucas's place.

We drive to the pizza place and get a pepperoni and a cheese pizza. We also go to my favourite bakery and get some snicker doodles and chocolate chip cookies. Pulling into Lucas's driveway I realize just how big his house is. He's an only child, but his parents own this really successful company so he has his own house. We get out of the car and up the stairs. We ring the doorbell and after about a minute James answers the door. His hair's wet so he must have just gotten out of the shower.

"Hey guys. Just put the stuff in the oven so they can stay warm and we'll go upstairs to Lucas's music room." We nod and walk towards the kitchen. James leans against the wall and consciously I know he's watching me.

"You guys can head upstairs. I just need to get a glass of water." Peyton nods and goes upstairs, but James comes and leans against the counter.

"Are you alright Ashlynne? You seem really sick. You've been eating right?"

"Of course I have. I'm fine James. Just a little tired is all." I say and turn around to go upstairs, but he grabs my wrist spinning me around and making me crash into him. I look up into his eyes and see him already staring at me.

"Ashlynne Mackenzie you need to eat. This isn't healthy. You are going to get really sick." I pull away from him.

"James... you don't know the hell that I'm going though. You don't know me so stop trying to get me to do things." With that I started crying and he wrapped me in a warm hug.

"Shh Ash. It's okay. I'm right here."
