Hockey has our Hearts Chapter 32

Alyshia's POV

While Aira and Patrick were on their honeymoon Jonathan's mom was going to come and stay at our house. The day after his mom arrived Jonathan left and went with his dad on some trip thing. So it was going to be just his mom and I for the next couple of days.

When I woke up the next moring it smelled like pancakes. At first I was kind of confused because I though that I was alone but then I remembered that Andree was staying with us. So I put on a sweater and then walked down the stairs and sure enough his mom was in the kitchen making pancakes.

"Well this is weird." I said walking in and sitting down at the table.

"What do you mean?" She asked looking kind of offended.

"It not bad. It's just that I am use to being the one to make breakfast."

"Oh, haha that makes sence. I just wanted to do something for you sence I am staying here."

"Please your family. I wouldn't let you stay anywhere else."

She smiled at me and then put a plate of freashly cooked pancakes infront of me with a side of grapes. Then she got her plate and sat down next to me. She looked like she wanted to ask me something but wasn't.

"Okay spill it what do you want to tell me?"

"What?"

"You want to ask me something right?"

"Yeah, umm well I don't know if it will ever happen but if you and Jonathan were to get married would you........"

"Would I what? SIgn a prenup?"

"Umm yeah that."

"Of course I would I love Jonathan for him not what he has, and not to sound cocky but I dont need his money. I have my own money alot actually and I have a job lined up and I start in August."

"I wasn't really worried about it but I am his mom so I have to look out for my son you know."

"Yeah I know."

"So what's the job?"

"Well I went to school and got a degree in early childhood education, so I after I graduated i looked for a job close to here because I could never leave Jonathan."

"Did you tell him that you were looking for a job?"

"No because I dont actually need a job I just want one you know. So anyway about a couple weeks ago I go a call from one of the schools and they asked me to come in for an interview. I went in and they loved me and offered me the job right there."

"Wow that's wonderful. What would you be doing?"

"I would be a kindergarden teacher. I get off when they get off , I dont work during the summer, and I get the benifits."

"Wow that's awesome and you get summers off and you can be with Jonathan."

"Yeah I know its great."

After that we washed the dishes and we spent the rest of the day talking and getting to know each other better. The next day I took her to places that she wanted to go to and explained them to her and everything. It was a really fun week. I actually cryed when we had to pack up her things because she was leaving the next day.

Jonathan came back that morning and sad good bye to his mom as well. We said good bye and watched her leave.

"Man I am gonna miss her."

"Really? Why?"

"We just spent a whole week together and its sad to she her go. We bonded."

"Really? What did you talk about?"
