Aira’s POV
Monday Aly had work and Jonathan and Patrick had practice all morning but after words Jonathan and I were going shopping for Alyshia’s engagement ring. Jonathan and picked out a really nice ring but my best friend hate gold she would never wear gold unless it was white gold and plus the ring looked like it was a fortune and she would have thrown a fit. The key to getting her a ring was it needed to be princess cut and it had to look like he didn’t spend a lot even if he did. The boys got back at about 1:30.
“Okay Jonathan are you ready?”
“Yeah lets hurry Alyshia gets home at like 3:30 ish so.”
“How long do you think it’s going to take to get a ring?”
“Well I don’t know but there are a lot of rings to look at.”
“Yeah yeah okay Patrick I will be back love you.”
“Love you too see yah.”
We walked into Tiffany’s and wholly cow were there a lot to choose from.
“Okay it can’t be gold and it can’t look like it cost too much even if it did okay? OH and it need to be circular or square.”
“Umm alright?”
He walked off looking for the perfect ring while I just followed him to make sure that he didn’t get off the path. We must have looked at a thousand different rings before Jonathan found the perfect one.
“What about this one?”
“Oh my gosh Jonathan that’s beautiful and just Alyshia.”
It was a princess cut diamond with little ones encircling it. It was big but yet it wasn’t, and it was white gold. Which I thought was funny because she hates gold but he was still technically getting her gold.
“Umm ma’am I would like to buy this ring.” Jonathan said to the lady behind the counter.
“Okay, wow very nice choice.” The lady said then turned to me. “Your one lucky girl.”
“OKAY LOOK HERE BITCH, IF DO YOU SEE THIS STOMACH YEAH I AM PREGNANT DO YOU REALLY THINK I WOULD JUST NOW BE GETTING A RING?”
Jonathan was snickering slightly next to me trying so hard not to break out in a laugh.
“Oh well my apologies. Whoever gets this ring is a lucky girl.” The lady said taking the ring from Jonathan. “Will that be all for you today?”
“Actually I need the wedding band that goes with it too if you don’t mind.” Jonathan said
“Nope not at all okay so they wedding band and engagement ring what sizes will those be?”
“She’s a 6.5 I believe.”
“Well we can always resize it if necessary.”
“Okay thanks.”
After that Jonathan paid and we got out of there and back the house.
“Sooo.” Patrick said when we walked in the door.
“We got one and she is gonna love it.” I said
“hey man. Can I see.”
“Yeah sure.” Jonathan opened the box and showed Patrick.
“That’s nice man.”
“Thanks. Oh hey do you all want to go out to eat tonight?”
“Yeah sure were?”Patrick and I said in unison.
“where ever I still gotta talk to Alyshia.”
“Alright just text one of us.” I said
“Alright “ Jonathan said before he walked out.
“Alright well I am gonna go sit down my back is killing me.”
So I went and sat down on the couch and watch tv. A little while later Patrick walked in and sat down next to me. Then just started to rub my stomach. I thought he was weird but then all of a sudden one of the babies kicked.
“Oh MY GOD WHAT WAS THAT?”
“That was your child stupid.”
“Oh I knew that.”
“Yeah sure whatever.”
After a while of feeling the babies kick Patrick got a text that asked if we wanted to go to Buffalo Wild Wings. We said yes and all got into the car. They weren’t very busy so we were seated right away.
“O my gosh so the funniest thing happened today.” Jonathan said
I knew exactly what he was gonna say and the would be bad considering he doesn’t wasn’t ot tell Alyshia that he got her a ring.
“Yeah I know Jonathan and I were out shopping and so lady thought that we were together it was so weird.” I said trying to save his butt.
“That not really funny.” Alyshia said. “And wait why were you shopping?”
“Well I needed some help and Patrick had a headache so Jonathan went with me.” I said
“Umm okay, well I need to use the restroom so I will be right back.” Alyshia said and then got up and left.
“Smooth move smarty.” I said to Jonathan
“Sorry I forgot that we went shopping for her.”
“Yeah sure whatever.”
After Alyshia came back we all ordered and had small talk. The guys were going to be leaving on like a 2 week road trip and Alyshia and I were going to make the whole team a dinner right before they all left. That was gonna be hard work you are talking about 21 huge hungry hockey players in the house not including their wives/girlfriends, coaches and maybe even the kids. The good thing was that they would be back for Christmas. They had a home game stretch from December 22 to January 4 and then they were back on the road.
“ So what do you think we should make.” Alyshia asked when we got back to the house.
“I am not sure maybe a pasta dinner like spaghetti, lasagna, and things like that,” I said
“Good idea that easy and will feed a lot.”
“Now we just gotta get a head count to see who all is coming.”
“That shouldn’t be too hard we are friends with all the wives and the most of the guys like us to so it shouldn’t be a big deal.”
“I didn’t think I would be I was just saying.”
“Yeah well it’s been a long day I am going to bed I will talk to you tomorrow.”
“Alright night.”
“Night.”
