"lets have dinner." he said after a few seconds of silence.

My eyes went wide, my breath hitched a little. Is he asking me out? What? Why? He must have seen the surprise in my eyes he added, "You haven't eaten yet, yes?" I just nod, "good because I am starving. Lets go."

Stupid Leah! Of course he is not asking you on a date. Its just a normal dinner with your boss.

"Ah its okay sir, you go ahead. I still need to close my pc and..." I replied hesitantly.

"I won't take no for an answer. Just turn that thing off and I'll wait for you at the entrance." With that he walked out of the office.

What is wrong with this guy? He keeps on doing these things, leaving me with no choice but let him do what he likes. He gives me a ride back to my house, pays for my food and takes me to dinner without really asking me if I want to.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing or that I don' like it, Its just...oh never mind. I sighed and started packing my stuff.

I thought of the free dinner and heard my stomach rumble, I laughed to my self, I guess I was also starving.

After turning the lights off in the office, I went straight to the lobby and then outside our building. He was already there and was sitting in the drivers seat, his windows rolled down.

When he heard my foot steps coming close he turned his gaze towards me. "get in" He said as as I walk towards his car.

"Umm..Sir? My car, I think it's best that I just follow you. It's late and I don't want to trouble you in going back here to get it."

"Don't worry about it." He replied.

"But.." I tried again.

"I said don't worry about it. I'll drive you home my self."

"but...."

"No more ' but's ' .just come here, I am hungry!" He snapped.

"Yes sir!" I rushed towards the passenger side. Gosh!.. Someone told me before that one should never argue with a hungry person, Its like poking an agitated bear..I just laughed at it before, now I know why.

As soon as I fastened my self we zoomed out to where ever we are going to eat. Did I mention that this guy drives like a maniac?

"ah..Sir?..." I trailed off after a minute of holding in my seat tight.

"Ethan.." he said.

"huh?" I turned my face towards him.

"You can call me Ethan. We are not in the office" He looked at me long enough for my comfort.

"please keep your eyes on the road!" I half-shout, half-plead to him. "And will you please drive like a normal person?"I said trying to control my self from freaking out. I feel my hands sweating.

"what's wrong with my driving?" He asks, giving me a short glance this time, his eyes looked amused by my reaction but he still holds a straight face.

"What is wrong with your driving.." I scoff, mumbled a little but I guess he still heard it because his grin becoming evident. "Sir.."

"Ethan" He emphasized.

"Ethan... If you haven't notice yet, you're driving 50 km above the speed limit!" I waved my hand towards the meter in front of him, in case he really didn't notice.

"it's a wide road and there isn't much cars," Moving his hands in front of him, to show and emphasize the almost deserted highway."You don't need to worry." Ha! As if lack of cars will save us the probability of crashing.

"hands on the wheel!", he just snickered at my panicked response. Really? This guy has no sense of preservation for his life.

as I looked at the dash board clock, Its only then that I notice that its 11:00 p.m. . I must have been so immersed at my work that I didn't feel that it was this late already, that explains the small amount of cars passing us or we are passing-by rather.

"will you please slow down. I don't want to die yet." I said exasperatedly. He chuckles as he eased on the gas, decreasing our speed little by little. We are still above the speed limit, but its just hovering around 10 to 15 kph.

I huffed. "Thank you." I begin to ease my hold on the chair. I did not notice that one of my hand was tightly shut that I felt the place where my nails were digging tingling after I released it.

"You really don't like driving fast don't you?" he asked.

"You don't say." I snapped a bit. Insensitive man, doesn't know when his companion is already getting uncomfortable. I huffed.

His face turned serious slightly and somehow apologetic. "Sorry" he said. A bit surprised by his apology. I sighed and told him its okay then gave him a small smile.

After that we lapsed into silence, it was nothing but comfortable silence. We're both lost in our own thoughts. Soon enough we arrived at our destination.

He got out of the car before I unclasped my seat belt and beat me in opening my door. I smiled at him and he gave me a nod. Wont you look at that! Who says chivalry is dead?

Once he closed the door. We walked towards the restaurant. It was beautiful. In the front you can see a fountain with lights that changes to different colors, with bushes of red, pink and white flowers. giving it a romantic effect.

From where we stand, I can see the glass walls with a black framed glass door with a swirling design, They look like vines spreading to the door.

I can also see the interior from the outside. It has mini chandeliers hanging on the inside. There is bar area, tables and chairs. There is a grand piano at the center. Though its is already dark you can still see the silhouette of chairs and tables located on the others side of the café, looks like a patio or something .

It was beautiful and It also looks expensive and most importantly it looks... empty.

"um, are you sure it is still open?" I glanced at Ethan who confidently walk towards the door.

"Its already closed." he stated as a matter of fact.

"then what are we doing here?" I asked.

"we're going to eat." He said.

"But you just said that its close?" getting confused by the moment.

He just glanced at me and then smiled. There it is again! He is smiling. My boss who usually have no expression is smiling!. I was a bit in a trance that I didn't notice him waiting at the open door.

"well? what are you waiting for?" he called on me.

I snapped out of my day dreaming and followed him inside.

Goodness, I cant move on to that swoon worthy smile of his.
