Ethan's (POV)

I was going thru the reports of our accounting team as well as the updated sales report of our company, though we are doing well for the past months, I can still see a lot of things that we need to change and we can improve. It's not hard to fix, but it will take sometime to finish.

I squeezed the bridge of my nose as I turn my seat around to look at the window where it has a nice view of the sea. Now I know why my dad decided to put his office here.

I am not bothered by the sun when it rises in the morning because it is not directed my way, there are other high rise building like ours but not enough to cover the view of the sea from where I sat. It is very pleasing to look at in the morning, most especially in the in the evening where the sun sets at the sea.

As the day from the outside darkens, you will see the many light that turns on coming from different establishments in the city all the way to the shore. it is a very relaxing view. I sighed and leaned back on my chair.

I have been working very hard ever since I realized the responsibility that came with being the only heir of my Father, Tyler Anthony James.

I know that one day the company he worked hard to build for years will be passed down to me. I never went thru the stage where I detested the responsibility, I have always delighted in the idea of being able to help manage our business, having the opportunity to improve peoples lives by giving them job and making difference in the way that I know how.

I knew that I have to double my effort when my Dad told me that I have to take over the business two years ago. I have already anticipated the pressure, and its not less than what I have expected.

I had no worries on this, in fact I am very much fine with it. Of course It gets tiring at times because there are still lot of things that to be done, but I know that I can do it. I wanted to follow the foots steps of my Dad and eventually surpass them.

This is where I have always seen my self.

I closed my eyes for a bit. It has been along day. I savor the silence and peacefulness but it did not last long.

My phone started ringing I wanted to ignore it but when I saw who was calling I immediately swiped the green button on the screen.

"Mom" I said with a small smile on my face.

"Ethan darling! How have you been?" Said the said the voice on the other line.

I smiled wider as I hear my moms voice, "I'm fine Mom. How are you and Dad?" My Mom and Dad are traveling in Europe. After Dad passed on the leadership of our company to me, my Mom insisted on going, saying that their vacation is long over due.

At the beginning of the transition my Dad immediately turned all the power and responsibility to me, but stayed on the side line and watched me run things in the office, assisting and guiding with the decision makings, at the end of that year, He and my Mom broke the news that they will travel around the world starting in Europe. Their reason: they want to live their life to the fullest while they still can. I have nothing against it, I just miss having them around.

"We are good honey. I've missed you! we are currently in London, the weather here is colder but your dad and I enjoys strolling around in the afternoon, tasting different food every night."

I smiled at this. "I'm glad you're enjoying Mom", knowing her, she probably did not just brought Dad to stroll around, I bet she is taking him shopping around London.
