A/N: I am already apologizing for all the errors you will encounter. XD

"Ethan, I am glad you made it." Says the lady before standing up she is wearing a black and white gown with intricate design. Aging has been good to her, though there are streaks of white in her hair and some fine lines on her face, you can not deny that woman before us aged beautifully.

"Good evening Gammy." Ethan let go of my hand to approach the two women standing to meet us. yes, Ethan was holding my hand as we went inside the party and the voice inside my head is screaming, well screaming and gushing at his gesture. sue me!

He hugged and kiss her cheek, then faced the other lady who is wearing a one shoulder gown with little feathers of different colors on her right shoulder. Both women look very pretty and regal. You can see by their stance that they are important women, very regal if you ask me.

"Mrs. Thompson." he smiled at her.

"No need to be formal Ethan. You know that I only threaten you so that you will do what I say" She smiled at her with a glint of mischievousness in her eyes. she like Ethan's grandma has a kind look on her face but both women has an air around them that is warning you that they are important people

Ethan just shook his head but was still smiling, as if he can't believe what he is hearing and gave her a kiss on the cheek too.

"Now, now let us not be rude!, Introduce us to this wonderful lady you've brought tonight." Ethan's grand mother says. They all turned their eyes on me. Somehow I wish that the floor would just eat me. I am not sure if I am ready for this.

Ethan walked back to me and put his arm behind me to lead us closer to the two women smiling. For a moment I was distracted with the hands that was rested at the low of my back. Their teeth are so white they are like toothpaste commercial models with how big their smiles are.

"Gammy, Dorothy, this is Leah." Ethan introduced me, "Leah this is my Grandmother Esther James and her best friend who I consider as my second grandma Dorothy Thompson."

"Hi! Pleased to meet you" I smiled and reached my hands to shake theirs, but Esther took hold of my hand pulled me towards her for a hug.

"I am really happy that my grandson finally met someone!" Esther gushed in my ear.

"come on Esther don't hog her to yourself" Dorothy chimed, "Move so I can take a good look at our future daughter in law." as she pulls Esther away to hug me also. after a second she pulled to take a good look. "I see why you like her Ethan, Very good choice." she said while Esther was nodding in agreement.

I swear my ears are steaming 'cause of embarrassment, this women are looking way too much in the future, even the looks that we are are receiving from the people around us doesn't help on keeping the blush out of my face. Gosh! I hope that the floor would open and just eat me alive!

I looked at Ethan with wide eyes silently asking for help, although he's smiling like his finding my situation funny, he finally rescued me out of Esther and Dorothy's clutch.

"Come on now, don't scare her away."

I blushed as Ethan pull me back to his side. I felt like I have to correct their thought about me and Ethan.

"Thank you for the warm welcome," I smiled at them, "But I am not Ethan's girlfriend." I clarified.

"None sense," Says Esther waving his hands, "You might not be now sooner or later you will get married."

Dorothy's nodding her head in agreement to her best friends statement.

Ethan groan at my side I looked at him and see that her cheeks are getting flushed at the antics of the two old but beautiful ladies. He looked down at me, and mouthed 'sorry'. I chuckled at his defeated look, he probably knows how hard to win an argument with them so he didn't commented on their ideas.

Ethan pulled out my chair beside Esther, and pushed it back as I was seated, then he sat at the chair on my right after.

Esther and Dorothy also took their seat.

"So tell us dear, how long have you known Ethan?" Mrs. Thompson started.

"uh.. 4 years." I said.

Esther's eyes grew wide, "wow! That long already? Why didn't you introduce her to us sooner?" looking at Ethan.

"well you see.." Ethan started.

"I am actually working for your grandson for 4 years. He never introduced me before because it was only a few months ago that we started to become friends." I said and smiled, as I try to stop any ideas that may be traveling on their mind.

"Oh really?" Says Dorothy. "and how did you start being friends?" She inquired like wanting to hear a very good story. Elizabeth clasped her hands together in anticipation.

"uh..." I started though I really don't know what to say, I looked at Ethan for some guidance. Good thing a gorgeous female reached our table and called Mrs. Thompson, telling her that the program is about to start and that she needs to prepare for her opening remarks.

"I'll be back dears! Please don't start your story without me." She said.

I gave her a nod. Sweet Esther hold my hand and squeezed it, "Don't worry about it dear. Dorothy and I was just excited to see Ethan come with a date. You are the first girl he ever introduced to us."

Ethan groaned again beside me, "Gammy"

Esther laughed at his grandson, "Oh don't be such a spoiler boy! We are just happy, that's all."

The program started and Dorothy explained that all the money that will be gathered tonight will be donated to the Thompson Foundation and 3 other Hospice that was chosen for the year, mostly focusing on homeless, orphans and people with down syndrome.

The donation is gathered thru an auction of antique collections and paintings. During dinner Dorothy returned and both her and Esther started to ask about me and Ethan, it was funny how they giggle like teenagers when I told them how Ethan often startle me and how they both looked in awe when I told them how he saved my life.

"Awwww... Good thing my grandson saw you just in time." Esther says.

I nod my head, "Yes, I am really grateful that he saw me." I looked at Ethan reminded how I owe him big time for saving my life.

"Anyone in my position would have done the same. Besides I thought you already repaid my good deed by your amazing pasta." he joked.

"You cook dear?" Dorothy asked.

"uh... a little but I am not that good."

"Don't be modest dear." Esther said, "tell me do you by chance cooked a Tuna Pesto Pasta?".

I was a bit shocked with what she said, but nod my head eventually. "Yes, actually. How'd you know?" I asked.

"Just a lucky guess." Esther said as she looks at Ethan with a knowing smile.

I looked at Ethan who was also looking at his grandma like they were communicating thru their eyes. I wonder what they are 'silently' communicating about?. I was a bit startled when Ethan took hold of my hand, I heard him chuckle probably because of my clumsiness.

"We can continue the talking later, please excuse us." He said standing, he then looked down on me as he pulls me also to stand asked. "Dance with me?" I was looking at his clear green eyes with a hopeful smile, How could I say 'No' to that. I didn't trust my self to answer so I just gave him a nod.
