"g!" callum shouted, running down the stairs of the secluded cabin. giovanna was sat on the couch, eating some chocolate as some movie played on the television. she looked over just in time to see cal jump over the couch to sit next to her. "what's up?" she rolled her eyes.
"hey, cal. can't you see i'm watching elf? y'know to get into the christmas spirit?" she replied, pulling the blanket that was already on her closer to her chest. it was in that moment, cal realized he was sort of jealous of a blanket. giovanna giggled slightly as she watched the movie," i love this part." he looked up to see some random girl singing in the shower.
"oi, i love this part, too," callum chuckled. "they should move the camera a little lower though." he scooted closer to giovanna and tugged on her blanket. "share," he groaned, pulling a sad face.
"get your own!" she tried pushing him away, but he was too big. "ugh. fine." this was the perfect plan. girls liked a guy who would cuddle with them, and callum was really good at it. he stealthily scooted in closer, using the yawning move to put his arm around her.
"the fuck are you doing?" she laughed, pulling away from his arm. "i have a bubble. get out of it."
he swung his legs onto the couch and put them over her. "i need attention! pay attention to me, g!" he pretended to whine.
"get away from me, you giant! your feet stink!" she squealed. she tried getting out from under his legs, but he was already holding onto her.
"what did you just call me?" he laughed. she grinned, avoiding answering the question. "okay, well, until you answer, i'm just going to have to hold onto you." he jumped onto her and just laid there.
"callum!" giovanna groaned. "you're heavy!" he grinned as she heard him giggle from under him. "get off me! you have cooties!" he flipped her around and looked down at her.
"you want me to show you what cooties really are?" he smirked. her cheeks quickly turned bright red, as she hid a smile from him. he leaned in close to her ear and began to whisper," i'd b-"
"callum! get your ass off her!" his father shouted, as all the parents sat down around them. "we're about to put a movie in." callum groaned, straightening up and sitting back into the couch. giovanna quickly composed herself, side eyeing cal. she gave him a small frown, before grinning and looking at her parents.
"what are we going to watch?" she asked. her parents sat on both sides of her, scooting callum over a seat. he grimaced, wishing he could be beside her. he was trying to get closer to her after all.
her mum smiled,"the classic how the grinch stole christmas." callum saw g's face light up like a child's.
"i love love love this movie!" g replied, snuggling with her mom and waiting for cal's dad to put the movie in.
however, callum was still bummed. he was working his ass off to try and make up for his treatment of her as a stubborn, annoying boy. plus, he also kind of, sort of had a tiny crush on her.
he sighed loudly, rising up and heading towards the staircase. "i'm going to our room." all of the people stared at him. "i'll talk to you guys later."
"callum!" his mum yelled, but he didn't pay attention. he just kept heading up the stairs. he was slightly angry at his parents. he almost had a moment. he stepped into his room and shut the door, pulling out his headphones from his bag. he turned on some music and laid facedown in his bed.
it reminded him of his teenage boy days where his parents would embarrass him in front of some hot girl, which happened quite a lot. he was so done with all of this. he was determined to impress giovanna, but his parents would always come in and ruin it.
giovanna peeked into the room," cal?" she stepped in, sitting down on the bed, next to his legs. "why'd you rush out like that? your mum is worried." she laughed slightly before continuing," your dad said your lousy arse will be fine."
he looked at her, before pulling both headphones out. "look, g. i really don't think you'll want to listen."
she placed her hand on his knee and gave him a genuine smile," i'm always here to listen. just tell me what's up."
