A/N: Next chapter will be the epilogue :)
Sebastian
Walking back into my dorm, I nervously wiped my sweaty palms onto my pants. I didn't know why I was so nervous; it wasn't like Cleo was the first girl to spend the night in my room. But she was so different from any other girl I had ever been with; I desperately didn't want to screw anything up. I had already screwed up with her, and never wanted to screw up again. She was too special of a person, I wasn't even sure I deserved to be in her life. I already hurt her once. That alone made me feel like an awful person.
After unlocking my door, I held it open for her as she walked inside. She smiled as she walked past me and sat down on my bed. Shutting the door behind me, I sat next to her and watched as her brown eyes looked up at me. Butterflies erupted in my stomach when she reached out and laced her hand with mine. Gently rubbing my thumb over her soft skin, I gently moved some of her black hair behind her ears while asking, "What's the matter?"
Cleo sighed as she stared down at the bed beneath us. "This man showed up to my house, claiming he's my biological father."
Raising my eyebrows I said, "How did he find you?"
"Apparently this Justin guy hurt Wes in high school. I think Wes is afraid that I'm going to want this Justin guy in my life. I'm worried that he's disappointed that I wanted to meet up with Justin. And I don't want him to be, because I love him and Noah. I mean, they're my parents. They're the ones that actually took a chance on me and helped me. I'm not even sure why I wanted to meet up with Justin, but I didn't want to go alone." Her worried brown eyes looked up at me as she asked, "I know this might be a weird request, but I was wondering if you could come with me to meet him?"
Geez, that's a lot to take in. "Of course I'll go with you," I said while gently resting my free hand onto her cheek. "I'm honored that you would want me to go with you."
"I've had so many people come into my life and leave. It's hard for me to realize that there are people who actually want to be in my life. The people I know now are truly special to me, and I wouldn't want to lose any of them. That includes you Sebastian."
I couldn't help but smile as I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her smaller body towards mine. "I don't want to lose you either Cleo," I said while feeling her snuggle up into my chest. "I'm so sorry for everything I ever did to you. I'll always be here for you, as long as you want me."
Pulling back, I smiled down at her before hugging her once again. Looking around the small dorm room, I realized this is the only girl that would ever be in this room again. I will never again hurt Cleo like I did before. Hopefully this Justin guy isn't going to end up hurting her.
After sitting in a comfortable silence for awhile I heard her tired voice ask, "Can we just lay down? This has been a really emotionally exhausting couple of days."
"Of course," I said while moving back and pulling the blankets back. When we were settled in I watched as her eyes almost instantly closed when her head hit the pillow. My eyes slowly started to close as well, hoping this meeting with Justin would go okay.
Cleo
Twiddling my thumbs, I nervously looked around the coffee shop while trying not to spill my drink over. When I felt a hand gently rest on top of mine, I looked over to see Sebastian giving me a reassuring smile. Smiling back at him, I gave his hand a small squeeze before hearing the front door open. Glancing up, I watched as Justin started to look around the small shop before spotting me. He gave me a small smile before walking over to the table we were occupying.
