How NOT To Make An OC!

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is a children's animated television show developed by Lauren Faust for Hasbro INC. The series is based on Hasbro's My Little Pony line of toys and animated works and is often referred by collectors as the fourth generation ("G4") of the franchise. The series premiered on October 10, 2010, on The Hub network(now DiscoveryKids.) A lot of OC's I've seen are pretty nice! But others are complete trash. Here's a list of ways to help you avoid pitfalls and make a good OC!

·You can make an Alicorn if done correctly.

·Don't give your OC a human name. (It doesn't work in cannon.)

·Don't break cannon for your OC. Seriously, don't. (It's complicated enough.)

·Make their cutiemark match their talent.

·Don't make their backstory overly sappy/ depressing. (Why Even?)

·Don't make their color absolutely seizure inducing.

·Dont make a fusion/fan character and call it your OC.

·TAKE THE INITIATIVE TO DRAW THEM.

·Don't overthink or overdo the design. Make it simple and nice.

·Don't make Fusions of Canon Characters and call them your "OC"... (Same with Cannon Children.)
