ㅂ/읍시다 (F/let)
ㅂ/읍시다 (F/Let) is used formally to express a proposition, suggestion, or an order to a group of at least two speakers in which the speaker is included. It has the same meaning as 'Let's do (something)'. Also, note that the negative form of - ㅂ/읍시다 (F/let) is - 지 맙시다 (let's not)
ㅂ/읍시다 is always attached directly to the end of a verb stem. - 읍시다 is used with verb stems ending in a consonant and - ㅂ시다 with verb stems ending in a vowel.
읹다(anjda) (sit) → 앉읍시다(anj-eubsida) (let sit)
출발하다 (chulbalhanda) (depart)→ 출발합시다 (chulbalhabsida) (let's depart)
열다 (yeolda) (open) → 엽시다 (yeobsida) (let's open) (Irregular case)
걷다 (geodda) (walk) → 걸읍시다 (geol eubsida) (let's walk) (Irregular case)Example sentences:
