"I got the papers." I stated as I dropped them on the metal desk. My boss let out a sigh, obviously trying to state how tired she was. "Aaaand you want me to put them into the new computer?" I asked her with the nicest smile I could manage. "It'd be pleasant, yes." She said as she stood up and went over to the cabinet in the corner of her office. I sat down on her desk chair and started her laptop. The idea about it was that she could have all of her info with her wherever she went, unfortunately most of the data had not even been set into the normal computer system.
"Are you sure these are all the people?" my boss asked me, sounding like a straight up bitch. "No." I simply answered. She looked at me in surprise. She was about to say something when I continued my sentence: "Some were on the old system, I managed to transfer those already ma'am."
My boss sat on the desk and pouted. "Call me Irina, I swear." She corrected me. I let out a sigh and looked at her apathetic. "Will I get fired for calling you mrs. Bitch?" "Yes." With that she jumped of the desk and landed perfectly, even wearing heels that were like 9 inches. "I'm going to go see Karasuma now." She cheered as she left me alone in the office.
I had just spent 2 hours sitting behind the computer, making about a hundred new people files, when Irina came back. "Nagisa I need you to get this brand of coffee, like, right now." She said as she forced a paper into my hands. I looked at the plain handwriting on the note. "Irina, this brand is Spanish." I said simply. She smiled at me and sat on the desk again, it's as if this woman does not know about chairs. "Karasuma recommended it to me." She dreamingly spoke. Those words all in one sentence made it clear to me that there was no way around it.
"So where can I buy this exactly?" I wondered. Irina simply smiled at me and shrugged. "I don't know assistant, now go do your job." and that was that.
A little fact about me: I can't drive for shit. I also don't have a car. I had to borrow someone else's car, seeing as I didn't have one, and found out I had to go to a near village. I used my phone for the navigation to the strange store I found on the internet. Where would we be without the internet?
Luckily I came back safe, after about 3 hours. I tried my best to drive slow the entire way. I'm not a bad driver because I'm reckless or anything like that, the problem is that I'm not. I'm a little guy of 1 meters 60 that can barely reach the brakes. Furthermore I had seen enough documentaries in my lonely nights in my apartment about traffic incidents, and I did not want any. Overall I just don't like to drive and people didn't like being in the car whenever I do.
To make matters worse, Irina made me go and make the coffee immediately. She mumbled something about sooner being able to talk about it with Karasuma. So then I stood in the kitchen of the 14th floor because they were the only ones that had a coffee machine for actual coffee beans.
I was busy forcing an entire hand of beans in the, way too small, machine when someone tapped my shoulder. "WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT, I'M FUCKING BUSY OKAY?!?" I screamed in the person's face. "Just thought you might need help." Karma said calmly. "Again." He added. I felt as if he was teasing me. I turned around and went back to violently mistreating the coffee machine. I got so sick of it I decided to hit it with a little too much force, pushing it off the counter.
"Oh whores..." I whispered to myself. "I hate today." Karma picked up the coffee machine for me. "Let me at it." He said as he took the bag of coffee beans and put a hand of it in the machine with ease. He then closed the machine, put a cup under it and turned it on.
"How?" I asked him in wonder. "Experience." He shrugged. The coffee machine made a soft humming noise while me and Karma were quiet. He jumped and sat on the counter swiftly. I did appreciate all of his effort but I really was just thinking about going home. I still had an hour or two to go, and knowing Irina it'd actually be two more.
"Are you just having a bad day or are you always this grumpy?" Karma suddenly asked. I looked up at him. "Usually like this on workdays." I admitted. "Why's that?" He asked me. I realised the conversation would continue and dragged a chair from a nearby table and set it near the counter. "Let me see." I started as I sat down. "I have to wake up early, then walk to work for 20 minutes, my boss is impossible and I'm just tired most days."
"How early do you wake up?"
"Usually 5.30""Why do you walk?"
"I suck at driving."
"Who's your boss?"
"Jelavic."
"Ugh."
Karma's face turned grim as I mentioned Irina. I had realised that she had quite the reputation on the work office, and how could she not. Apart from the fact that most would say she has a 'matured body' and all that, her behaviour is...unique. She can and will flirt with literally anyone to get what she wants. Furthermore she is quite ruthless when it comes to fighting, hate to say I know that out of first hand experience. And boy, was she needy.
"Good luck with her." Karma said to me and he jumped off the counter. He took the, now ready, coffee and handed it to me. "You might want to give that to her before it gets cold." He added as he started walking away. "Uhm...thank you!!" I yelled after him as I went and walked the other way to get to the stairs. I felt my bad mood had partially disappeared, which was great because a day goes by really slow when you're moody. All I could think of as I walked up the stairs, was when I would bump into Karma again.
A/n: So i checked, and made a updating schedule. From now on this story will be updated on Tuesdays! I have never worked with a schedule so...hope this works...
