Previously: She spoke softly to him "my name is jesse, I have a Dragon like you do, her name is sky" another blob came to view, it was black. Jesse knew his Dragon anywhere "n-night."

Jesse slowly sat up with the help of the girl next To him. What was her name? Jesse, right. He looked over to her with foggy eyes "m-my name is jesse too." She seemed to have taken a step back "you wouldn't happen to be the Jesse everyone is talking about... Would you?" the other Jesse questioned. Jesse could only weakly nod, the girl nodded and went to help him lie back down "well, you can call me jess... If it helps" jess said calmy as she covered Jesse with a blanket. Jesse tried to stay awake, but sleep cornered in and dragged him into the darkness.
Jess sighed, this strange boy that she had taken in with His Dragon happened to be the legend boy. What was she going to do? If the overlord found out about this she would most likely die for taking him in. Ever since someone came back from the forest and said they saw a boy that had powers, everyone went nuts. The overlord put up wanted posters around town, he wanted jesse dead or alive. Jess walked over and slumped down against her dragon. Sky nuzzeled her head under jess's arm, and Jess let out a long breath. She looked over to the sleeping legend boy, hopfully the guards will decide to skip her house in the daily checkup tomorrow. Jess watched as Jesse's Dragon walked over to the boys resting form and layed down next to him. Jess similed at that, and let herself fall asleep on sky's smooth back.
(time skip)
Jess awoke to the sound of distant knocking. She instanly jumped up startling both her and Jesse's dragons, who had already awoken. Jess panicked, they were here? This early? Why me? I have to hide jesse! A million thoughts riddled through her mind all at once. She emidiatly set to work. Running over to jesse she shook him awake. He barley had any time to register what was happening before he was pulled out of bed. He stumbled to the ground, his legs failing to hold the sudden wheight. "W-whats going o-on?" he shivered out, due to the warmth of the blankets being taken away harshly. Jess grabbed his arm "there's no time to explain!" she snapped at him. Jess pushed aside some items, revealing a trap door. She opened it and shoved jesse inside "don't move, don't speak, and don't even breath" Jess threatened. Jesse quickley nodded, and Jess closed the door putting everthing back where it was before. A shiver went up jesses spine as he realized how cold it was under the floor. Dust particles were floating around, and there was a small peep hole in the corner streaming in light. He scooted over to see what Jess was doing. She seemed to be putting armor on both her and Jesse's dragons. Footsteps could be heard outside, Jess hurriedly whispered something to Night. She then went to get the door. Two men wearing bright blue armor struted in carrying sharp blue swords. "May I help you?" Jess said as she closed the door behind them. One man had a stuffy red beard turned to her "ma'am tell me if I'm wrong, but rumors are spreading that you helped a stranger" he told her. Jess put her hands on her hips "well, why would I do that now?" she questioned him. He sighed and knelt down to her "well missy, we both know that that Dragon over there is not yours." He pointed over his shoulder to Jesse's Dragon who was being inspected by the other armored man. Jess scoffed and walked over to Jesse's Dragon "I found this Dragon the other day, it was injured and I wanted to help it." she said matter-of-factly. The man who was looking over Jesse's Dragon stood up "you know that's against the rules, jesse" he stated. "I know, but if you were him, and you were in pain, wouldn't you wanna be helped?" Jess sighed. The bearded man swaggered over to them "that dosnt matter,Jesse" he sneered at her "rules are rules, and you have broken more than one already missy." The other man turned to Jess as the bearded man struted off "don't listen to him, I would wanna be helped too... Just remember to try and keep a low profile around here jess" he whispered to her. Jess nodded "right, sorry Nick... But, just between you and me, it was more than a dragon" she whispered back. The man called nick was shocked, and took a faltering step back, landing on his bum. The bearded man laughed "hahahaha! What?... Mud got your boot?" he cackled. Jess jogged over to nick "sorry, need a hand?" She said as She helped him up. "Yea, I'm fine... Thanks jess-e" Nick stumped " I think we're done here" he told the bearded man as he walked over to the door. "We'll let ourselves out" Nick held open the door for the bearded man "it was a pleasure to see you, milady" he bowed to Jess. Nick grabbed the back of the bearded mans armor and yanked him out of the house "see yah later Jess" He yelled out to her as the door closed.
As soon as the two guards were out of sight she ran over, and moved everything aside. Jess opened the trapdoor, when she did so dust flew up everywhere. It caused Jesse to go into a huge coughing fit that lasted a few minutes. Once he was finished Jess helped him out of the small hole, and guided him back to the bed. Night followed behind the two as they made their way across the small room. Just as Jesse sat down, the sound of leaves crunching outside made them freeze. Nick kicked the door open, and flung around slamming it shut, then locked it. He was so frantic, going around shutting the curtains that he hadent noticed Jesse and Jess. When he was finished he let out a long breath and walked in a small circle, running a hand over his face. He opened his eyes and scanned the room. He could see jess's chests and bookshelves, the two dragons, and Jess with a strange boy by the bed. Wait... That boy wasn't there when he came in for a check up. Nicks eyes widened as realization kicked in.
