Erick Shaw's POV
Monday morning arrived finally and the first thing I had to do was cleaning the pack house kitchen.
What a life.
While hanging with Alexa and Mikey after the cleaning was done, we were laughing about some joke that Howard made a week back. I was laughing so hard I bumped into someone unintentionally. Turning around my face paled.
It was Cara. Up close and personal. Shit.
She had a deep frown etched on her face. Glaring at me up and down, she took a step forward causing me to take a few steps backward almost falling.
"Watch where you're going Omega. Don't you have any work to do than laughing like a crazy person?" she growled and the wolf in me whimpered.
The thought of our own mate had the gut to even say that about their other half.
Cara was not one to belittle Omegas and when she did it came as a surprise even to the others. Especially me.
The kitchen stayed quiet that you could practically hear our breathing.
I look down on the floor hugging my body in attempt to look smaller before apologizing "Sorry Miss Campbell".
I was pushed back by surprise and fell on the floor on my ass. She left as quickly as she came.
Devastated I swallowed the pain.
"Are you okay Erick?" Rita another one of the female Omegas went and help me up.
I smiled a smile that didn't reached my eyes. They had pity in their eyes probably thinking that I must have done something wrong to piss off Cara that bad.
I took my bag before leaving heading for the woods. The feelings in me mixed into emotions I had never felt before.
Man, they weren't lying when you actually find your other half you get like a whole lot of new different emotions. Pain that you can feel physically.
Running slowly I avoided the trees in my path ahead. A feeling of being watched washed over me but that didn't stop me. I needed to get away from everything.
Slowly but surely I heard footsteps running towards me. I look back for a moment to see a grey mixed with brown colored wolf chasing me. Not thinking twice I ran faster. Though my attempt was futile as the wolf was already beside me.
Before I could react he pushed me and I fell hitting at a tree. My left shoulder was in pain from the impact. Looking to the side, the last thing I saw was the wolf jumping on me and my head was hit with his strong paws that caused me to just black out.

Opening my eyes felt heavy. My head was dizzy. Everything was dark but that doesn't mean I couldn't see anything with my enhanced abilities. I was tied on a chair. The place looked old, dusty and abandoned.
I could smell my dried blood on my head. How long was I out even? It's already night time?
"Finally" a familiar voice said.
