Chapter 18-The spell

(Y/N)'sP.O.V.

I finished saying the spell but something seemed off about it.

"Zane?"I looked at him.

"Yes?"he turned to me.

"Something is off about this spell."I stood up and took another spell book.

"Let's see."Zane started to read it again.

"I am darkness to myself while I am your light.You are my light and your own darkness.My whicked smile and your whicked laughs ruint this Earth.My shadow consumes me and takes control of me.My heart drops and my soul vanishe's,it's Makaya,I say until I feel you tear me apart.My body feels numb as I write my life down on a paper,you take my hand and try to help me but he's still here and taking over.I can't stop it,I'm giving in.I'm not who I was before,my pain is too real that it's reality now."he turned the page and his eyes widened.

"What is it?"I sat next to him and looked at the page."Zane?"I nudged him.

"S-sorry."he looked at me and back at the page.

"What's wrong?"I asked.

"Isn't this from your book?"he asked showing me the page.

"Wait,let me see."I took my book and looked through it"it's the 10th chapter."

Chapter 10,Makaya

"I guess my time came.I'm 28 now and I already ruined my life,I said a wrong spell out loud and my shadow was free,it took over my heart,soul and mind.I lost everything,I'm left in the middle of nowhere,villages are gone,even Eythis and Mayoka,the divine warriors either got killed or trapped in some realm that can't be found by anyone.I even lost Zane,he did go back to his evil ways but Makaya was too strong for him,I'm the last one standing on this Earth,I wish I could get a second chance.

Makaya...my shadow,ruined me."

"M-makaya?"I muttered.

"(Y/N).Calm down."Zane said trying to keep me calm.

"Okay."I turned the page back to the spell.

I looked at Zane trying my best to think of a way to tell him the truth,but I still couldn't.I turned my head down and looked through some spell books.

"What will we do if we go back?"I asked him standing in front of my window.

"I don't know (Y/N)"he said.

"Zane...I can't even.."I looked at him"believe this."I said.

TIMESKIP-4 hours

I was walking around my room thinking about everything,I walked out of the castle and sat down under a tree,I looked at the sky and closed my eyes.

"You're finally outside."I opened my eyes and saw Jeffrey sitting next to me.

"When did you come here?"I asked keeping my eyes closed.

"I was outside the whole day,you're the one who came.What happened inside?"he asked.

"It's a long story."I said.

TIMESKIP-After you told him.

"Why does the spell sound familiar?"he asked leaning on the tree.

"I don't know,even Zane knows it."I said.

TIMESKIP-Night

I was sitting on the floor in my room thinking about the spell,I know I heard it before but,where?I heard a knock on my door,it was a guard.

"Miss Shadow sorry to interrupt but you have a letter from Phoenix Drop."he said giving me the letter.

"Thank you."I said looking at the guard walk out.

"Dear (Y/N),

We heard what you're going through.Look,we know it's hard but we know you'll get through it.It may be hard now,it may get deeper later but just remember that you have all of us here.Aphmau was going through the same thing like you,I guess it's your turn,but don't hide anything from Jeffrey,we still don't trust Zane,we just have a bad feeling about him,anyway you know better.

-Elina,Zoey,Aphmau and everyone else"

I left the letter on my desk and sat down on my bed,I looked at my door.I felt that someone was outside,it's like they went to knock but they moved away.I stood up and opened my door.
