"me?" Pete replied, sounding hurt.
"yeah. you." Patrick replied coldly, the memory coming back to him as he continued.
"you and that girl Meagan. flirting and stuff. I thought you said she was boring? you seemed perfectly happy talking to her then. you were all smiles when she was putting her hand on your arm and laughing at all your jokes" Patrick said, venom dripping from his voice.

"Patrick I was faking, I wasn't actually smiling." Pete explained, trying to reason with him. Patrick's got the wrong idea. patrick thinks Pete's into Meagan, which he most definitely is not. but Patrick was beginning to shout.
"oh is that so? so are you faking now Pete? hm? whenever you smile at me, is that all an act as well?" Patrick yelled, making Pete mad.
"no! goddamnit Patrick of course not!" Pete yelled back as Patrick was pushing him away.
"fine! then prove it!" Patrick shouted, and Pete didn't need telling twice.
Pete smashed their lips together, slamming his and Patrick's body into the door for the second time. the kiss was rough but passionate, and their hands were everywhere. their hair, their neck, their hips, roaming around, exploring each other. Pete could taste the cheap vodka on Patrick's tongue and Patrick could taste the beer on Pete's, but they didn't care. they had been waiting for this far too long to care.

and to this day, they kind of wish they hadn't wasted their first kiss on a drunken fight. but they also claim that honestly, it probably wouldn't have happened any other way.

but Pete kept by his word. it was another three years before Pete and Patrick ran into Alex again. Pete had a tight hold on Patrick's hip, and managed to keep his cool for around five minutes, as Patrick attempted polite conversation with Alex. but then Alex winked at patrick.

Alex regretted that decision soon after.

the doctor said he had never seen a bone broken in so many places.
