once I got to work , there was not a lot of people so i grabbed a ball and started shooting until someone came and asked for help.

me:" how can I help you"

lady:" im looking for these in a size 4 youth"

me:" okay hold on "" " aye dev" I said as he turned around " I need a 4u " I said throwing him the shoe.

he finally got back with the shoe so I handed them to the lady.

lady:" thaank so much"

me:" your welcome, you can head over to register 3 and cali can help you out"

lady :" thank you " she said walking over to cali.

Me:" sure did take you forever dev"

Dev:" oh shut up shorty"

Me: " says the one with a job and no money"

Dev:" whatever, you goin to the party "

Me :" yea, you? "

dev:"of course , I aint one of those wack ass niggas" he said as we both laughed

me:" you wrong for that " I said laughing

?:"I hope yall are working and not playing around?"

me:" part of this job is to have fun so we're doing both" it was the stuck up manager

tom:" just work"

dev:" I dont understand why mike wont fire him already"

me:" he wait just a little longer"

dev :" ill try" he said laughing

it was finally time for our break and cali went to go pick our food up so me and dev went to the back . while we were walking to the back , he grabbed my butt.

me:" stop" I said smiling

dev:" maybe"

I pinched him, I know he hates that but it was funny .

dev:" okay okay"

I got a text from my mom and I had to leave work quick.

me:" I gotta go" I said grabbing my stuff and running out

dev:" what about your food"

me:" ari should be home just drop it off there"

dev:" ok" he said hugging me

I got in my car and drove to the hospital and ran inside.

nurse:" room 118"

me:" thank you"

when I got to the room I walked in to august , my mom , and his mom crying.

me:" august" 

aug:" baby" he said crying. his eyes were red and watery. I looked over at the bed at his brother. the beeps on the moniter were very slow. I just started crying .

it was silent in the room and all of the sudden the beeping went straight. august mom just cried, so did August's sister in law and kids .  I went to hug August's nieces and they just cried. it was sad but ive been through it before, kev, amara, and johnez. too many .

me:" im so sorry" I said to august and he grabbed my arm and took my outside .

aug:"..... why ....."

me:"what do you mean"

aug:" why my brother... what did he do"

me:" baby. . I dont know" 

august pulled me close and kissed me . he spoke Into me lips ..... " I want you , I need you , I want to marry you daija , .
