Daija's p.o.v

It was a long flight but we were finally here. I walked on the campus and everything was beautiful. I went to my dorm to see where my room was.

DA:" and your name"

Me:" daija rose"

DA :" ahh your roomate is already in there. Its room 204. I have a feeling you already know your roomate"

Me:" thank you and is that a good thing".

DA:" i dont know you tell me"

I went to my room an opened the door and went in the room.

?:" daija? "

I turned around to see Amira Carter or az for short.

Me:"az!"

Az:" hey" she hugged me

Me and az have been tight for years. Then when we went to diferent high schools , we started competitions. But we never hated each other.

After about an hour we were finished un packing and putting everything in its place. My mom ad sister had to go back home cause they still had stuff to do. I hate this moment. There is about to be waterworks everywhere. Az went outside and said her goodbyes to her family and i stayed inside.

I hugged my mom first.

Me:" bye mom". I said crying.

Mom:" bye daija good luck we will try to make you games" she said cryin also

Next i went to ari.

Me:" ari im goin to miss you so much"

Ari:" daija... dont leave"

Me:" i have to but ima facetime you, call you , and text you everyday ok"

Ari:" ok"

Daylin said goodbye to my mom cause him and amiah were stayin in a hotel till tomorrow. Then a cab took my mom and sister to the airport.

Miah:" remember what i said"

Me:" dont cry cause this is going to help me be successful" i said with tears rolling down my face.

Az came in the room crying also but hers wasnt as bad she was just pulling herself together.

Az:" its ok dai" she said hugging me

Day:" come on you gotta be tough. Think about it this way. At least now nobody can hurt you" he said wiping my tears.

Me:" your right " i said laughing

Miah:" we gotta go to the hotel but we'll be back tomorrow if yall need us ok"

Me and az :" okay bye"

She closed the door behind them and me and az just talked and laughed all night.

Az:" dont you go out with august"

me: " guh you late we been broken up" i said laughing

Az:" oh yea thats right i remember you was about to fight somebody"

Me:" yea yea" we both laughed

Az:" god im hungry" she said throwing her head back and laying down on her bed laughing.

Me:" like always huh".

Az :" oh shut it up" she said laughing

We went down to the cafe and saw all the athletes in one area. They called us over there so we sat down and ate.

I saw talking to people from every sport and they are super chill. Especially the football players. I love this place. Its my new home. And i have a new family or, say it like my aunt T says, "ma nouvelle maison et ma nouvelle famille (my new home with my new family) shes part french).
