"Blessing in disguise"

Angel's POV

"What are you doing here?" I said still shock that's he's here. Is is the reason? Blessing in disguise.

He startled when I poke him. I was shock at first that I can other human that Darren but when the human turn around it was the only human I can talk to.

"Someone told me I can find you here." He spoke while his hands on his pockets.

"Really? Who?" I ask.

It's weird someone can tell where I am. Do humans have radar within them? As long as I can remember humans don't have powers. Whoever told Darren I'm thanking you from the bottom of the deepest ocean!

"That's not important. What's important is this." He said and grab my hand while placing the envelope on my palm. My eyes widen when I saw it.

"How did you--"
"She gave it back to me."
"So it's a she... Hmm." I said while staring at the envelope I once lost. I felt embarrass for losing it. And I felt jealous because that someone was  a 'she' so that means she's a girl. She met Darren. What a lucky girl. That was suppose to be me.

I took my hand away from his and slowly bow. How embarrassing! Maybe he's thinking I'm careless and stupid.

But suddenly I felt something on my head. I lift my head and found Darren smiling. He was soothing my hair. I froze on my spot and stare at him.

"Mind if I take you somewhere?" He ask. After soothing my hair.

"Okay.." I answered.

He smiled and hold my wrist as he walk ahead of me. I stare at our hands and slowly to him. I'm seeing him right? It's not one of my hallucinations. I shook my head and erase the thoughts that's in my head. I always think this way. Starting today I should be more confident.

"Where are you taking me?" I ask him. He look at me and smiled but he didn't answer.

"You'll see." He spoke.

I kept quiet. But after like 2 minutes we start to jog.

We stop at a loading section and he hailed a taxi. My eyes widen. I look at him and he was also looking at me.

"Just trust me." He said and smiled again.

I gave him a small nod and a taxi stop in front of us. I got in first and he came after.

"Saan kayo boss?" The driver ask him.

"To kasheries restaurant kuya."  Darren spoke. He suddenly wink at me.

"If your thinking I know that place then your wrong." I told him and roll my eyes. He laugh and pinch my cheeks.

"You don't have to be honest." He said still pinching my cheeks. I glance at the driver if he's watching and thank heavens his wearing one of those white strings called earpods. So he can't see us or hear us talking. Or hear him talking alone.

"And what? fool you with lies?" I said. He suddenly stop and stare at me. Did I just suddenly hurt his feelings?

"What? What did I do? Did I hurt your feelings? I'm sorry." I said and move beside him. He suddenly smiled and mess my hair.

"No, I wasn't expecting you to say those words. You got me taken aback." He said and chuckled.

"Your not use to people who's straight forward huh?" I ask him all awesomeness on my tone.

"You look so angelic but you got this badass side." He said and chuckle

"Even I, I didn't know I have this side." I utter. Feeling weird for my self.
