{CLARY}

After I told the nurse my name, she finds my husbands phone number and dials it. I hear her end of the conversation.

"Hello, my name is Estelle, I believe you are Jonathan Lightwood? And you are looking for your wife? Hmm... I was looking for Jonathan, not a woman. Is he around? Oh! You're his sister, okay. Oh yes sugar, we have her right here. She was hit by a car, and needed to stay at the hospital. What? Oh, the woman who hit her only gave her first name. Peggie, it was. She said it was an accident. But after that she ran like a squirrel looking for nuts!! Oh, yes excuse me. Here are the directions..." After that I felt suddenly very tired. I hum myself to sleep, suddenly feeling safe. But I cry, as I hum. I never wanted to be this... Insane. I feel insane. Jocelyn will probably send me away, or disown me. I just can't believe she's pregnant. And right after I lose my baby. Maybe I'm not the only one who is insane.

{ISABELLE}

I run into the hospital, and to the lady at the desk. "I'm looking for Clarissa Fray, she was hit by a car..." Simon walks in behind me. The old lady behind the counter looks at her list, and answers, "Family only." I grit my teeth.

"I am family, lady. I'm her sister in law, and best friend." I practically spit at her. The lady glances at me.

"Fine. Room 394." She grunted at me.

"Simon lets go," I say grabbing his hand. "Thank you!" He says to the lady. Sometimes he just so sweet.

{JACE}

When I get Izzy's voicemail, I wipe my tears and grab Spencer and Will. "Lets go see Momma," I whisper.
