Chapter 59- Epilogue

Clary and Jace found peace from Alec's death. Clary always felt so guilty, but Jace was always there to hold her hand whenever she had doubts. When Will was all grown up, he married a young man named Joshua. Both Clary and Jace supported their gay marriage. When their little Bennett was grown up, he married Maia and Jordan's Trista. Spencer found a young ShadowHunter to wed, but sadly Jace had passed away by then. He was attacked by vampires, which put Clary into a deep depression. She forced herself to go on, but later died from giving up in a battle.

Maia and Jordan did get married, on Trista's first birthday. Clary and Isabelle fixed their relationship, so they were bridesmaids at her wedding. They weren't able to conceive another kid, but they did adopt a little girl who's name was Melissa. Maia and Jordan taught Trista how to be a good pack leader before Maia was murdered by another werewolf, seeking to be the leader of a pack. Jordan died many, many years after, after Melissa had had her first child.

Isabelle and Simon happily married, Emma being the flower girl. They were happy with one kid. But Emma died suddenly from SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), and Isabelle couldn't stand even seeing another child for years. But Simon insisted, after a long period of time, that they either tried again or adopted. They were successful in having a baby boy, who they later named Ethan. They thought Ethan was a normal boy, since he could not be a ShadowHunter nor a vampire. But they later found out Ethan's parents were both Shadowhunters, so they raised him to be one. Isabelle died from an unexpected attack. Obviously, Simon could not die. He fell in love with a vampire named Gina, but that was after Ethan had died in his arms, and also after Simon unsuccessfully tried to kill himself.

Jocelyn and Luke moved back home, so Clary could meet Eleanor. Eleanor grew up and married Ethan. She was half werewolf half ShadowHunter, and struggled to fit in in either group. Ethan accepted her, though, the way she was. Jocelyn died when Eleanor was first learning how to transform safely, and was standing too close. Eleanor hardly knew how to live with herself. Luke was murdered only days later, by a werewolf who didn't know what he was doing.

And then there's Magnus. Magnus was dark, for weeks after Alec's death. Kayana had to come live with him, to care for Katherine and to hold his hand when he wept. Magnus didn't want to be the father who was never around. After almost a year, he finally started seeing his friends again. He let Clary's name come up into conversation again, Alec's too. He started being the father he wanted to be to Kay and Katherine. He bought Kay an apartment a few blocks down, so she could visit anytime. Katherine grew up to be beautiful. Since her father was a shadow hunter, she was a wild one. She met her biological mother Mae when she turned 19, but her mother had a family of her own. She was married to a man named Samuel- who ironically was her biological father. They had a seven year old daughter named Bree, and Bree was the only one who wanted to be apart of her life. Mae told Katherine she loved her, but she doesn't see how they could be apart of her life. Samuel said the same thing. When she went crying home to Magnus, his arms were wide open. He had thought that might've happened. He watched his daughters grow up, both married lovely men. They had kids, who he also could watch grow up. He held both Kay and Katherine as they took their last breaths. He watched the same thing for his grand children. Finally, he'd had enough. He summoned his father, after his last grandchild died from old age, after "the gang" had all passed away- even Simon had found a way out of his miserable life. His father killed him the minute he was summoned. Just like he wanted. And after all those years of self pity, he was finally able to hold Alec's hand again. He was able to hold his little girls in his arms. He could watch Clary and Jace dance together in the moon light. Simon and his one true love Isabelle, they could see Emma again. Jocelyn and Luke, to see Amatis once again.

In the end, they all found each other. They weren't a sad little group. They were happy. They had each other.
