Raeleigh's P.O.V.

"I have to go, Mom. I'm gonna be late!" I yelled, walking out the front door toward my car.

I heard her say something but it got mixed with all of the noise as I slammed the door behind me.

I threw my bag in the car as I got in.

Archer texted me seven times before I even woke up, so when I didn't reply he called. He apparently needs me to meet him at some restaurant.

I turned the radio on and hummed along to Drop in the ocean. It ended before I knew it and the speaker started talking. I reached up to change the radio station until a caller said something that got my attention.

"Good morning, and what's your name?"

"I'd like to remain anonymous.."

His voice wasn't human, it was mechanical, the same mechanical voice that belongs to my stalker.

"Okay, and what song would you like to request?"

"I'd like to request Hold on We're Going Home by Drake. This is for Raeleigh."

"Alright, we'll play that next. Thanks for calling. Raeleigh, this is for you."

I turned the radio up, listening to every lyric and glancing around at the stoplight.

"I got my eyes on you, you're everything that I see, I want your hot love and emotion, endlessly.."

I pressed my foot down on the break, the car jerking forward as I sped down the highway. I turned the radio off, my hands shaky as I pulled into the parking lot of the hole in the wall restaurant, Ray's.

I practically ran through the doors of the restaurant. I immediately texted Archer and let him know that I was waiting in the front of Ray's.

"Are you okay?" Archer asked, coming around the counter.

"Yeah, just creeped out. Why did you want me to come here?" I asked.

He shrugged now, walking past the counter and guiding me to his table. There was a hamburger on one side and a grilled cheese on the other.

"Is someone else here?" I asked, sitting on the side opposite of him.

"No, I figured you would want a grilled cheese," He said, biting into his burger.

"How did you know that I like grilled cheese?" I asked, taking a bite of the warm sandwich.

"Who in their right mind doesn't like grilled cheese sandwiches?" He asked, taking a sip of coffee.

"So, are you gonna tell me why you invited me here so dang early?" I asked.

I signaled the waitress to come over and asked for an orange juice.

"Because," He started, waiting for the waitress to leave, "I was bored."

I laughed, taking another bite of my sandwich as the waitress set my orange juice down. She let her stare linger for a bit, her eyes glued to Archer as she walked away.

"You were bored at five in the morning so you woke me up and asked me to come eat with you?" I asked, just to clarify.

"Yes, plus it takes two to tango."

"Are we going dancing or something?" I asked.

"No, I don't dance unless it's at a party or something," He said, finishing his burger as I finished my orange juice.

I set the cup down, finishing my sandwich and looking around. I could see something moving outside of the window.

I could see the black bandana before I saw the bat in his hand.
