"NOAH! HELP!" I scream. Camilla (who's 5) and Tommy (who's 3) keep pestering me. I accidentally hit publish on my draft blog post I written thanks to them. I remember the first time Camilla did that when She was only a few months old. She said her first word that day: Bwog.
"I wanna speak to Autumn!" Tommy exclaims, going over to my stomach. "Hello, little Autumn! How does it feel inside Mommy's stomach? I forgot. So, are you going to be a Brit like Camilla and Mom or an American like me, your brother, and Daddy?"
Noah steps inside the room. "WOAH! Penny, what's wrong?!"
"Firstly, it's your turn to change Tommy's nappy. It smells. Bad."
Tommy squirms. "I'mma big boy! I don't need silly nappies."
Noah grimaces as he sniffs the air. "Yeah. Smells like it."
Camilla sniggers. "Tommy, if you didn't wear heroic nappies, your pants would be in the bin now... With a brown smudge on the bottom!" she laughs. Tommy jumps, attacking her. Camilla squeals and runs away.
"Watch out, Camilla! I'mma monster and I'm ready for a SNACK!"
"Well, I'm a beautiful princess with long golden locks.. But I'm also a ninja! I know kung fu!"
"Not true! Kung fu isn't a thing, stupid!"
"HOW DARE YOU! I'LL THROW YOU INTO THE DUNGEONS FOR THAT!"
Camilla kicks her leg high, showing off that she can do 'the kick'. I smile. They're sooo cute!
Noah joins the game, running around. He grabs both of them under his arms. They squeal and I laugh, clutching my stomach. Not too tightly, obviously. Don't want to hurt Autumn.
I suddenly feel a pain in my stomach. Noah looks at me. He knows what to do.
Camilla runs over to me, unsure of what's happening. "Mummy, do you have a tummy ache?"
Tommy smiles. "It's Autumn, isn't it? She's trying to communicate!"
I grin. Close enough.
