I look out the window, staring at the snowflakes falling from the sky. It's 4:00am, Christmas day. I wait for Camilla, Tommy and Noah to wake up and go downstairs. Autumn is in her crib, which is stuffed with presents. There's one from Tom, Mum, Leah, even Melanie. Everyone loves Autumn like crazy.
1 hour later..
I hear the kids waking up and excited gasps and squeals. I smile.
"MOMMY DADDY WAKE UP! LOOK, SANTA SPRINKLED MAGIC PUFFY STUFF ON THE GROUND! IT LOOKS SO YUMMY!"
"That's snow, you idiot! Now, let's go wake up mummy and daddy! I wanna see if Santa left me my Barbies!"
"DADDY! DAD, WHERE'S MOMMY?!"
I hear Noah grunt. "Hey, where is your mommy? She wouldn't be up already, would she...?"
"Mummy's a woman full of surprises!" I hear Camilla say. That is so cute! I smile. Camilla knows exactly how to make my day. I hear footsteps - they're going downstairs, Noah first. He smiles as he sees me.
"Woah! How long have you been up, Penny?"
"About 2 hours. I've been waiting for you lazy butts to wake up!"
"Two hours?!"
"Yep! Waiting for you! I will never take those boring hours back."
"Sorry, Pen Pen," he kisses me gently as Tommy enters the room. He shrieks. "OH MY GRANDMOTHER! GROSS! MOMMY AND DADDY KISSED! EWWW, GET THE IMAGE OUT OF MY HEAD!!"
"EWWWWWWWW!" Camilla sticks her tongue out, pointing to it.
It's kinda funny when they do that. I smile at them slyly and kiss Noah on the cheek. Of course what follows is a chorus of "EWWWW!!"
Noah looks at me. "That's mean. You kissed me to entertain the kids. You didn't mean it!" he says, mock angry. Camilla's jaw drops. "ENTERTAINMENT? WATCHING DISNEY A LITTLE MERMAID IS ENTERTAINMENT!"
Tommy disagrees bitterly. Noah interrupts them. "Hey! It's Christmas, you know! Time to open presents!"
"Pwesen! PWESEN!" My head turns, and I see Autumn jumping up and down. We all laugh. Autumn said her first word! On Christmas! How cute! <3
