"... And that's it. Sorry I didn't let you know.."
I look at Elliot. "Oh," I murmur. I can't say anything else.

Elliot met Ayuka when she went to visit some family members back in the US. After another harsh break-up I guess he was done with guys.
They met in Central Park, New York. He was too busy concentrating on something and Ayuka busy roller-skating through the park - she was super sporty before she had kids.
The bumped into each other, and the rest was technically like any other love story; exchanging numbers, meeting on a date, blah blah blah.
And - When Ayuka was just about to leave for Melbourne, two weeks later - she told Elliot she was in an abusive relationship (with Chris) so that he can't tell anyone that they've been hanging out.
Next day, Ayuka had to leave. But Elliot decided to go with her, so together they could stand up to this Chris guy. She agreed, but solemnly.
When they arrived in Uk they decided that Elliot should stay with his mum, as Ayuka wasn't ready for him to meet Chris. And when Chris found out the kids weren't his, well...You can guess what he did.
And (apparently) Chris Stole Elliot's phone in the process? Even though I didn't believe that, I decided not to argue with Elliot, for the obvious reasons.
Then they moved to Australia.. And that's where it ends.
(A/N: Please don't kill me! I had no explanation for it...)
"But... Telephone booths? Ayuka's Phone? There's still a lot of ways you could have contacted me!" I protest.
Elliot sighs. "I know... Im sorry. Again. Forgive me?"
I look at him. I want to scream at him, shout at him, protest, slap him. Even after he explained, he could have communicated with me in another way.
But he didn't.
That's not what best friends do. Heck, I could be better off with Megan.
"I... Okay," I sigh and smile at him.
Lets face it; without his help, his support and his weird nicknames for me, I wouldn't be where I am today. Not a very good position at the moment, but you know what I mean.
"We're cool?"
"We're cool."
We smile at each other and the world around us disappears (Not in a lovey-dovey way, obviously). It's just me, Elliot and----
"C'mon, you two! We are in Melbourne, one of the major cities in the world.. Or maybe just Australia, but we still need to explore!"
Our thoughts were interrupted by Abigail's rant. Everyone looked at her and Courtney grinned.
"YES! You three need to explore the beach. It's amazing."
Not as amazing and memorable as Brighton's, though, I thought to myself. It may not be that special to some people but it is special to me.
"We're your sisters, not 'You three'!" Avril starts to protest, eyeing up Courtney.
"Whatever. Let's just gooo," Courtney tugs at her mum's sleeve,'"Pweeeease? With sugar on top?"
"Okay, gets your bathing suit, sandals and towel. We'll leave in a minute." Ayuka says.
The triplets look at each other in sudden realisation.
"Forgot your bathing suits?" Courtney asks, "I've got some spare ones. Get your pick."
Adria looks curiously at Courtney.
"Only us three know the special sibling code...""Don't forget I'm one of you now." she gives the triplets a megawatt smile. She flounces off, her sandals flip-flopping (Is that a word?) across the floor.
As everyone leaves in a hurry to get ready for the beach, me and Elliot give each other one last smile and join them.

Sorry for not updating in a while! I might put this book on hold until I get inspiration, not sure.
