I kind of went crazy when writing this chapter...

Avril's PoV

"Where could he have gotten to?"

Two boys - Jamie and Mason -  have totally tricked me and Courtney into playing one of the scariest Hide-and-seek games ever.

Well, okay... Maybe not. But I'm only six, what can I say?

Me and Court are hiding behind some bushes, keeping an eye on Mason, who is waiting for Jamie.

"What do you think they want to do with us?" Courtney whimpers quietly, clinging onto me.

"I'm not sure, but I'm not gonna find out, either." I reply.

Mason decides to leave Jamie behind and continue the search without him. Court shoots me a worried glance. "What now?"

"Don't worry, I've got this," I reassure her and take her hand, "C'mon."

We walk past Mason silently. He turns our way, causing us to freeze -  but seems to ignore us.

I decide to take that as a sign he didn't see us, and motion for Court to follow me.

We did it! I thought to myself proudly, Now for..

"Huh? You two?"

Uh oh...

Court shoots me a look that says What have you done? And I just put my finger to my lips in response. Maybe he didn't see us..

Well, okay. He obviously did.

Mason runs over and grabs us by our collars, making us practically choke.

"You're not going anywhere," He says and tries to drag us out of the bushes.

Court's eyes start to fill with tears, and that's when I know I need to do something. I can't stand to see my sister like this, even though we just met.

I attempt to get off ground, but Mason's grip is too tight.

This isn't going to get us anywhere, that's for sure.

All of a sudden my fiesty-ness goes away and - for the first time ever - I feel like I'm about to burst into tears along side Court.

"Do you think they're here?"

As I hear mum's voice, I instantly feel better. They're all close by - they should find us, right?

Mason glares at me as if it's my fault, and then he.. Lets us go?

For a minute I'm confused, but then realise that it's our chance to escape. But I should of known that he's not just gonna let us escape that easily.

Mason suddenly pushes me against the street light as I start to squirm uncomfortably. I open my mouth to shout for mum - but before I could do that, my mouth is taped shut and my arms are tied around the pole. Great.

And then - unexpectedly - Courtney pushes him onto the floor in one swift move.

I gotta give her credit for buying me some time to untie myself. As soon as I'm done, everyone - including the police - have found us.

Before I leave, I quickly pin Mason's arm to his back - you know, as a sort of revenge.

"Avril! Courtney!"

I turn and smile as my mum pulls me into a too-tight hug.

"AVRILLLL! COURTNEYYYY!" Adria and Abby scream and run towards us, joining our group hug.

"We've finally found you - Thank God," Penny sighs, "We were so worried! Have they done anything to you? Are you hurt?"

"No... Just have a bruise or two," I reply as I attempt to breathe. "Mum... Please.. Let... Me... Go.."

"Oh,right. Sorry!" mum lets go and smiles, "It's so good that we've found you! I'll never let you play with kids you don't know, ever."

"Fine with me." Courtney says.

Penny's PoV

We've finally found them!

One of the boys, Mason, had dragged them into a deeper part of the beach. In the end no one knew what he wanted to do with them, but we weren't about to ask, either.

Officer Jones shoves Mason into the police car, where his sidekick, Jamie, is already sitting.

"Well, we've found your kids. Told ya that you couldn't find them on your own," he says.

We roll our eyes at this guy and watch his car go away into the distance.

"Well, It's getting dark, and right now I need a serious nap," yawns Avril. Her four sisters nod in agreement.

"That was that for our day out," sighs Elliot.

"At least we had an.... Adventure," I attempt, "And besides, I got some great photos."

I took my camera and flicked through all the photos again. I smile as I give them to Elliot.

"These are really good, Penny." he says, but you could tell he wasn't telling the truth. I decide not to let that bother me as he passes me the camera again to put away.

But, whatever I do, I kind of regret forgiving him. People change, and Elliot definitely did.

A lot.
