Chapter Twenty-Six

"DAAAAAAADD! Wait, are you my dad?"

Me and Elliot ignore the girls as we look at each other coldly.

"Can someone explain to me what's going on?" Ayuka asks.

"That's what I'd like to find out," I look at Elliot. "What. The. Hell..?"

"I'm married. Might of forgotten to text you, or call you." he says as causally as if he just said that he's going to order a takeaway or something.

I look at Elliot, shocked, angry, upset. He forgot? So wait; he forgot to say he's not.. You know, gay anymore; he forgot to tell me that he moved to Australia; he forgot to invite me to his wedding; he forgot to say he's actually getting married and he forgot to tell me that he has kids?

The last time I've seen him was a few months ago. He must of known by then all of this yet he didn't tell me?

I was furious - livid - with him. I couldn't believe that I might of went to visit Elliot all the way to USA and be greeted by a stranger, saying that he moved to Australia.

It hurts when your best friend lies to you. It does.

"Elliot... Where do I start? Do you have any idea how I'm feeling right now??"

He looks at me blankly.

"DO YOU??"

My anger takes over and my hand goes out - But Elliot ducks before it hits him.

"Penny, I'm sorry, alright? I mean it. It was wrong not to tell you. But you don't have to..."

I look at my hand, shivering.

Oh my God. What have I done?

I shiver, feeling cold. My vision starts to blur and my head spins. I can barely breathe, and all voices around me start to become menacing shrieks, like in a horror movie.

I'm having a panic attack.

"Pennnyyyyy? Someeeeeoneeee getttt some waterrrr!"

"What's goingggggg on? What'sss wrong withhhh Pennyyyyyy?"

"What'sss happeninggggg?"

That's when I collapse onto the ground.

I'm still angry when I wake up (on their sofa with an ice pack on my head).

"I can't believe..." I say, but get cut off when the door opens.

"Heyaaa, I'm back!! I had the awesomest time ever at the park with Casey's mum! Sorry for...."

A girl, around seven, stands in the corridor. "Err..."

"Courtney!" Ayuka shrieks, "Wha.."

Abby looks at the girl curiously.".. I have THREE SISTERS? Adria and Avril are enough, thanks."

"Who are those.. Clones?"  Courtney asks.

"We're triplets, not clones!" Avril yells at her.

I'm so confused, shocked. I have no idea - and no control - over what's going on.

"I... Mmfff..." I try to speak, but the symptoms and side effects of the panic attack don't let me.

Elliot is in Australia, and has 4 kids?

That's just...

"Mmmffggh... Wha... Mmm.."

"Oh my gosh, is that that Penny Flynn chick?"

Great.

"Wi...will someone.. Exxxplaiin.." I try to say.

Because I really want an explanation, and fast.
