Mistoffelees, who had been watching Victoria's solo from the pipe entrance to one of the dens, Leaped up and skipped towards Victoria. Once behind her, he spread his arms and flashed a brilliant smile just as the music picked up. Rapidly, he leaned down and stroked both of his paws along Victoria's leg as she elongated her body. He gave a wiggle of his ears, swooped down just as Victoria slid away and as he rose up he began to sing.

Mistoffelees: Jellicle cats come out tonight, Jellicle cats come one come all!

Victoria jumped up and danced alongside the magic cat, one paw to their hip, one above their heads.

Mistoffelees: The Jellicle moon is shining bright, Jellicles come to the Jellicle ball, Jellicle cats come out tonight, Jellicles come to the Jellicle ball...

Misto waved his arms in the air then Munkustrap took center within the forming group of cats. Just as he managed to push his was through, Pouncival leaped down from the top of a scrap pile, landing on his paws perfectly.

Munkustrap: Jellicle cats meet once a year at the Jellicle ball where we all rejoice! And the Jellicle leader will soon appear and make what is known as the Jellicle choice. When Old Deuteronomy just before dawn, through a silence you feel you could cut with a knife, announces the cat who can now be reborn and come back to a different Jellicle life. For waiting up there is the Heaviside Layer, full of wonders one Jellicle only will see. And Jellicles ask because Jellicles dare, who will it be?

Who will it be?

Suddenly, Munkustrap turned to the tribe with a wide grin plastered to his face, he dismissed with a wave of his paws. George, Callus and Hariena scampered over, meowing with excitement from their first few dances.

"Oh Viccy looked so lovely!" Hariena gushed.

"Dad did you hear us sing?!" Callus yowled. Munkustrap nodded proudly to his offspring. Without another word they sprinted away as something else had caught their attention.

In passing, Alonzo bowed his head to Munkustrap before following Jemima's direction, Jellylorum patted Munkustrap's shoulder and gave him a smile and some of the adolescent kits pawed at his legs. Once they had cleared away, Demeter sauntered over and rolled her head against her mate's shoulder.

"I love seeing them so excited." Demeter purred as she gestured to their kittens.

"Me too, at least it's keeping the boys out of trouble." Munkustrap chuckled. Before moving to take his place for the next number, he pecked Demeter's cheek and stroked his paw down the side of her face. She gave a fond smile and another low purr before ushering him on.
