"Audrie, I can't believe we are going to our first Scotty concert. I can't believe I won."

Squeals are coming from the other room as Audrie is sprinting into the living room while jumping up and down. "Bridgit. Believe it because we are going to meet the Scotty McCreery. Only the guy you've been in love with since he hit the American Idol stage in Milwaukee. You've been waiting for this to happen for three years. No one deserved to win as much as you did."

A week earlier

"Mom I have been trying to win these tickets for the past three days. I've gotten up at the crack of dawn and called  at the top of every hour. Being the ninth caller is the hardest thing ever," I had exhaustedly said to my mom.

"Honey, we are going to get these tickets. I promise you. I have two phones going."

"Ugh! These people who are winning aren't even excited. If I was caller nine I would be screaming and jumping up and down. These people don't even care."

"We will keep trying. That's all we can do. Now get going you're going to be late for work. I'll see you tonight for dinner. Love you," with a smile on her face she gave me a hug and walked back to her office.

"It's okay, Bridgit. If you don't win you'll just buy tickets for his upcoming tour anyway. It'll be fine." You were talking to yourself while walking in the frigid weather out to your car.  Once you hopped in your car, turned on the heated seats and blasted the heat, you popped in Scotty's new CD and began to sing along with his deep voice as the song blasted through your speakers. "Could be a house, could be a field. Could be a parking lot or up on top of Kill Devil Hill. A hillbilly yacht out on a lake. A rundown barn or underneath the stars on a tailgate."

You pulled into work and let out a sigh as you pushed open your door and slammed it shut. You enjoyed your job because you got to hang out with some people that have become really close friends with and you got to spend time with kids. You work at a daycare where you take care of kids ages 2-10. You yank the door open and punch in your pin to clock in and unlock the next door. "Hey, Sarah! Having a good day so far?"

She rolls her eyes and puts a fake smile on, "Of course! Just another day in paradise."

You laugh as you walk to the place you're supposed to be. Your boss always had sarcastic remarks to being at work.  As you're walking into the gym where all the kids ages 2-4 take a nap for two hours you walk up to a close friend of yours and take a seat by her. "Hey, Britt! I've tried winning Scotty tickets again and I've failed. I'm just not lucky."

"Awee. Do you want me to try too?"

"Oh my gosh that would be fantastic. Thanks you're the best!"

4 hours later

"Guys we are down to ratio where someone can leave. So who wants to go home?" One of your co-workers stated.

"Ugh! It's only 4:50 I'm so poor. I guess I'll leave even though I don't want to. As long as I can stay late tomorrow?" You asked while staring at them for a response.

"Absolutely. You can close if ya want."

"Thanks guys! I'll see you lovely ladies tomorrow," As you walked out of the gym and to your car. Once your turned on your car you sat there letting it warm up for a bit as you were shaking in your seat. You turned on the radio to the radio station where the Scotty contest was happening. It was almost the top of the hour so you figured you might as well try one last time.

"Hey, It's Scotty McCreery and here's your chance to win HankFM tickets to my closeup concert," his deep voice came on and that's when I knew it was time to call in.

Ring... "All lines are busy at this mome-" You've heard this message so many times you already knew the rest of the sentence.

*Ring*... "All lines are b-" Ughhhhhhh

*Ring* *Ring* *Ring* "Merry Christmas! You are the ninth caller and you're going to see Scotty McCreery at our close up concert held here at our studio."

You're in complete shock as you let out a slight scream into the phone. "Really?! Oh my gosh!"

"Well, yes. Why do you seem so shocked?" The announcer had asked me with a chuckle.

"I've been trying for the past 3 days and I never thought this would happen. Oh my gosh! This is the best Christmas gift ever. Thank you so much!"

The guy then told me to hold and then gathered all my information he needed for me to get the tickets. Once you were off the phone you screamed when you heard yourself on the radio. You then picked up your phone and dialed your best friend who was off at college in Tennessee.

"Hello?" Audrie answered.

"AUDRIE, I WON!! I WON THE SCOTTY TICKETS!" You screamed into the phone as you put your car in drive with a huge smile on your face as you drove to your humble abode, where you couldn't wait to tell your mom.
