Your P.O.V
Your car screeched to a halt in the reserved parking lot for the elite audience members for the election.  You gained a few confused looks with your wild state but most were to busy talking to other elite members and the remaining candidates.  You looked around and spotted Commissioner Gordon talking to a candidate.  If your mind could recall correctly, the candidate was in the lead.  "Commissioner Gordon!" You called out, waving your arms.  He looked up and gave a soft smile.  "Hello Ms. Y/N.  Fancy meeting you here."  You gave a quick smile but dropped it back into a frown immediately.  Worry crossed the old commissioner's face.  "What's wrong?" He asked, placing his hand firmly in your shoulder.  "Sad you chickened out?"  The candidate said, grinning.  You looked at him, offended.  "Mr. Duxbury please." Gordon said.

Duxbury shrugged.  "Well not everyone is cut out for being mayor."  "Clearly..." You mumbled, looking at him.  Just then, an announcement went off over the crowd.  "ALL CANDIDATES PLEASE MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE STAGE."  Duxbury saluted you.  "Well it was an honor working with you Ms. Dehai.  Shame you had to drop out so soon."  He walked away, hands in pockets.  Your glaring eyes followed him for a second or two more before you got back to the more pressing matter at hand.  "Commissioner we need to shut this thing down."  You said in a low but harsh voice.  He tilted his head.  "What?"  You nodding vigorously.  "There is a bomb somewhere here and the Joker plans on using it to kill all the candidates while on stage."  Gordon leaned in and whispered.  "Are you sure?"  You nodded.  "Please believe me Commissioner."  He stared into your eyes for a moment before sighing.  "Well as much as I would like to say such a threat is fake, the look in your eyes tells me something far different.  A grin covered your face and your shoulders relaxed slightly.

"Oh thank god."  You mumbled as Gordon lifted up with Wilkie talkie.  "Alright men.  We just received plausible information about a bomb threat in the area.  Please evacuate everyone immediately."  The radio remained silent and you and Gordon gave it an odd look.  "I repeat.  Please evacuate the civilians immediately."  The radio gave only a  static reply.  Gordon threw it on the ground, frustrated.  "What do we do?"  You asked him.  He looked at you.  "Ms. Dehai please leave the area quickly.  I will stay and help evacuate the people."  You shook your head and swallowed nervously.  "The Joker wants me.  If I stay he might let the others go.  It's best we get as many people of here before that point.  There's no stopping it."  Gordon stared.  "Alright."  He finally agreed.  "But you stay by my side until we can get this sorted out ok?"  You nodded.  "Then follow me."  Gordon said as he made his way to the stage."

As you followed Gordon, you gained many strange stares from the candidates and the crowd.  However, most of the crowd was focused on the accounted for the evening.  "Good evening ladies and gentlemen."  He began.  "This election year has been quite an interesting one, with some of the greatest candidates Gotham had seen yet.  However, there can only be one winner."  Gordon leaned over and whispered something in one of the security guard's ears.  The guard glanced over at you for a moment as he relayed the information to the rest of the police via earpiece.

The police immediately took action, subtly moving through the crowd, beginning to escort them.  A murmur spread through the crowd as some began to realize what was going on.  "Please follow me."  The two guards on stage said to the other nominees.  "What's going on?"  Duxbury said to one of them as they grabbed his shoulder.  He caught eyes with you and laughed.  "What you believe this girl?"  You and Gordon frowned as he clutches his stomach laughing.  Then he abruptly stopped and glared at you.  "Kinda a sore loser aren't you?  Can't let anyone else beat you can you?"  He growled.  He marched forward towards you, fire in his eyes.  But before he could get to you, a large explosion knocked you off your feet.

The crowd broke into a wild state of panic as civilians ran like ants trying to escape a water hose.  They jumped over fences and each other, desperate to escape the flames.  You sat up slowly as rubbed the back of your head.  Looking around, you sighed in relief as you saw Gordon and Duxbury, the two remaining people on the stage sat up as well.  "We need to get out of here now!"  Gordon yelled over the screams.  Duxbury looked around dumbly.  "No....I was in the lead.  This was supposed to be my night."  He mumbled, looking out over the ruined stage.  Just then, a familiar laugh echoed across the space and your stomach dropped.
