Halloween Party

Peter's POV

Peter pulled up into the driveway that Alexah had given him. He was really hoping it was the right address. Otherwise, he was showing up as Peter Pan in a strangers doorway.

He walked up to the doorway and rung the doorbell. A woman who seemed to be in her twenties answered. She had black hair and green eyes. She was wearing a pencil skirt and a blouse. But she couldn't be Brooklynne's mom, her mom was dead.

The lady smiled at him and looked at his costume,"Your a bit early for trick or treating..."

"Is Brooklynne here?"

"Oh your here for Brooklynne? I'll go get her."

The lady disappeared. Peter felt a tap on his shoulder. A man who looked like Brooklynne except with dark eyes stood there. He was in a business suit.

"May I help you?" Asked the man.

"I'm waiting for Brooklynne?"

"My daughter?"

The woman appeared with a blonde Brooklynne. She looked beautiful. Her smile lit up like a thousand Sun's. She reached out and hugged him.

"Hey Peter!"

"Hello Jelly bean."

"Jelly Bean?" Asked the man.

"Yes daddy. Just like mom called you Mr. Touche."

The ladies smile faltered a bit, before it brightened up again.

"Oh. I see. And did you meet this young man the same way?" Brooklynne's father asked.

"Yes dad. We have to go or we will be late! Bye dad love you! Bye Victoria!"

"Bye! Have fun!" Said Victoria happily.

"Bye sweetie. Be safe!" Brooklynne's dad said.

Peter held his hand out and led Brooklynne to the car. They both got in.

"I thought you didn't like your dad's girlfriend?"

"That's not his girlfriend. That's his partner. My dad broke it off
with his girlfriend last week."

"You look beautiful Brook."

"And you look devilishly handsome Peter Pan."

"Well you don't have to worry about me ever stopping!"

"And why's that?"

"Because I'm Peter Pan duh. I don't get older."

Brooklynne's laughter filled the car. The rest of the car trip was filled with duets to the high school musical CD and playing 20 questions.

"We're here."

The party was at a mansion in the middle of the woods. It belonged to Corey. Peter led Brooklynne to the door, where she was bombarded by her two best friends.

"You look amazing!"

"Like always!"

"Do you see the both of you? You look stunning! Like always, am I right Peter?"

That's when the two girls noticed Peter.

"Hello Peter! Gennie was mad at you for not taking her trick or treating. She wants you back by 10:30 though to help her bake Halloween cookies."

"This is the legendary Peter I've heard about? When you said he was cute I wasn't picturing this cute!"

"Well thank you! I'm taking it your Courtney?"

"That's me! Why? Has Brooklynne been talking about me?"

"No but Corey sure has."

A blush faded onto Courtneys cheeks. She giggled.

"Shut it Pan."

"Anything for Dorothy."

Brooklynne frowned before her face lit up with a smile. Corey came up to them, smiling at Courtney.

"Hello Courtney!"

"Hey!"

They stared at each other for a few minutes before Peter sighed.
"How about a hello for your best friend."

Corey lifted his eyes up from Courtney and then laughed. His eyes were now filled with playfulness.

"I'm sorry do I know you?"

"Just your best friend since you were little. No big deal."

"Sorry, you must be pretty forgettable."

"I am hurt. I thought you loved me."

"I do love you! Marry me?"

Corey got down on one knee laughing. Peter rolled his eyes before turning to Brooklynne.

"No I'm good. I'll stick with Brooklynne."

Brooklynne's face was now as red as a tomato.

"Sorry, but I'm already taken by Alexah."

"You're cheating on me?"

"She loves me more!"

"I am hurt Brooklynne."

Suddenly this guy appeared out of no where. He grabbed Brooklynne around the waist.

"Hello beautiful."

A pit of fury raged in Peters stomach. Who was this guy?

"Go away Matt!"

Alexah physically cringed a bit.

"I'm good beautiful."

"Please go away."

"Kiss me then I will."

"No."

His lips crashed down towards her, but she turned away just in time. He kissed her cheek. Peter felt as if he was about to punch this guy.

"GO AWAY!"

"Fine... But you're gonna wish you let me stay later."

The guy disappeared.

"Who was that guy?"

"My ex."

Another guy approached them. He had black hair and green eyes. He smiled as he approached.

"Not another ex I hope?"

"Not at all."

"Hey Daniel!"

The boy picked up Alexah and kissed her. Brooklynne mouthed Alexahs boyfriend to Peter.

"Hey Peter... I know you probably won't want too but... I kinda don't want to be at the same party as Matt... can we leave?"

"Of course! You don't mind right Corey?"

"Its fine! Plus Courtney can keep me company right?"

"Right."

"Thanks! Bye guys!"

"Bye guys!"

And so Peter got in the car with Brooklynne and drove to his house.
