I said that I would come see Hide again. I don't know where he lives though... It's not like I'm just gonna end up running into him like I did the first time.

I look up and notice him across the street.

Way too many coincidences are happening near me... Oh well I guess... They're helpful coincidences so I don't mind.

"Hide!" I yell, waving my hands in the air so he'll notice me.

He looks over and our eyes seem to meet for a moment. He then looks both ways before crossing the street to get to me.

"Hey." He says.

"I told you that I'd come see you again." I smile.

"Well technically I came to you..."

"You know what I mean. So...what's going on?"

"I was just about to get something to eat."

"Oh...well um-"

"It's ok. I'll pay." He says.

"I didn't exactly bring money so...thanks."

"It's no problem. Come on. It's just up here." He points to a place that's not too far from us.

"We're eating here?"

"What? You don't like this place?"

"I do! I just didn't think it would still be open after all this time..."

"I thought the same thing when I first saw this place again."

We walk inside, take our seats, and order the usual: a bowl of ramen.

"We made lots of memories here." Hide says.

"Yeah, all three of us did. Remember that time Kaneki spilled his ramen on the floor?"

"I remember. He spent almost the entire time apologizing to the grumpy janitor who used to work here."

"Oh my gosh, he did!" I say, laughing at the memory.

"And I'll never forget the gum incident..." Hide says.

"Yeah...sorry about that... I didn't think that it would get in your hair." I say.

"It's ok. My hair did grow back after all!" He scratches his head.

"Yeah but after your mom cut the gum got out of your hair, Kaneki and I went home and gave ourselves bad haircuts just so you wouldn't be the only who looked...well...ridiculous."

"...Oh yeah. I remember coming to school the next day and seeing you two like that."

"Yep. We were shocked when we saw that your hair had grew back already."

"I guess my hair just grows back fast... You guys did know that you didn't have to do that right?"
"We knew. We just wanted you to feel a bit better about the whole thing."

After a while we exit the establishment.

"Alright. I'm going home." Hide says.

"Can I come with you?" I ask. "I wanna be able to know where I can find you instead of randomly running into you. Besides I haven't seen what your place looks like so I might as well see now."

"Ok. Lets go then." He says.
