Chapter one
I was lying in Scott's room on his bed as we were hanging out and he was actively fixing his lacrosse stick, I was bringing up non-important topics which he was just grunting at, he was super focused on tomorrow and doing well at tryouts when he knew all as well as me and Stiles that there was no way he would be able to without having an asthma attack in the middle of it. Though in the small moment of silence we shared we froze when we heard a noise. "Did you hear that?" Scott Whispered and I nodded in confirmation to him.
"Yeah," I whispered back. Scott stood up and grabbed the bat by his door.
"Stay here." I knew I could protect myself more than he could protect me with a little bat but I nodded letting him play the man of the house. He went outside and after the longest minute I've ever had to sit through, I heard two boys screaming like girls. I already knew it was Stiles on the roof but hey. I huffed a hair out of my face and got up, heading outside and stopped on the porch when I saw Stiles hanging upside down from the porch awning.
"Stiles What the hell are you doing?!" Scott yelled angrily, I chuckled shaking my head, crossed my arms and leaned against the railing.
"You weren't answering your phone. Why do you have a bat?" Stiles asked pointing to the bat Scott was holding.
"I thought you were a predator," Scott rasped, it seemed he was losing breath from the scare, I reached into my pocket and clutched his inhaler just in case.
"You two are idiots," I mumbled lovingly to myself, I was so fond of my brother and his best friend.
"A pre... I-, I know it's late but you gotta hear this. I saw my dad just left 20 minutes ago. dispatch called and they're bringing in every officer from the Beacon Hills department, and even state police." Stiles explained as he flipped upside up.
"For what?" Scott and I said curiously, in unison.
"Two joggers found a body in the woods," Stiles said almost excited at the idea of something genuinely happening in this god-forsaken town.
"A dead body?!" Scott said dumbly.
"No, a body of water, Yes, Dumbass, a dead body," Stiles said sarcastically rolling his eyes at his best friend.
"You mean like murdered?" Scott asked sounding almost nervous at the idea. Wasn't it he who was saying nothing interesting happens anymore?
"Nobody knows yet, just that it was a girl, probably in her 20s," Stiles said shrugging and leaning on the porch himself. Wait if they found a body what are they searching for?
"Hold on, if they found the body, then what are they looking for?" Scott asked as if he was reading my mind.
"That's the best part. they only found half... We're going." He clapped his hands together and they started running to the jeep and I jumped.
"Wait for me!" I yelled and ran to his jeep getting in, and he sped off without waiting any longer.

"We're seriously doing this?" Scott asked as we tracked through the woods uphill, Stiles being the only one with a flashlight. Not that I needed it.
"You're the one always bitching that nothing ever happens in this town," Stiles answered honestly. Exactly what I was thinking before.
"It's true," I said walking past him tossing his inhaler at him and he caught it, he furrowed his eyebrows probably wondering how I knew he was struggling. Just a while into looking for the body, we're going up a hill and Stiles lunges for the ground, Scott and I following suit, we could see cops and search dogs walking and gazing at the ground focused in their search.
