A police officer rushed into the food lion with his pistol pulled out, he aimed at people but quickly disregarded them then he followed the trail of blood that led to a pool. He let his guard down, staring in awe at what he saw.  A portal, a doorway into another place hung in midair, things like tentacles squirmed around and a man with long red hair stepped inside, as soon as his entire body was in the gateway closed. The policeman had no time to point or shout freeze or stop. The rest of the policemen came running in behind him. “What was that?” Frank said to the first police man. Steven looked back at frank, still shocked by the large amount of blood and the strange man. “I have no idea what that was.”

People that worked in the store began to huddle around the incident trying to see what was going on, customers joined in too but by then the view was blocked and Steven turned around and raised his voice at the sudden crowd and said. “Ok everyone that is here to see this event will be asked questions, so no one can leave.” Amanda the front end manager was first to go, telling the police about Rylan running in the store bleeding almost to death. This behavior was so different and also she pointed out the fact. “He was also thirty minutes late for work today.” It was like she had to make the statement known to the whole world. Steven twirled the hairs of his frilly mustache as the story was being explained; he looked over at Frank who was taking detailed notes. The twang of his southern accent could be noticed with every word he spoke. “Alright thank you Ms. Smith.” He looked down at the long line and yelled an unnecessary “Next.” Today was the most exciting and eventful day in all of Holden Beach, and it would probably be the last the town would ever see again.

Several miles out toward the mainland in Bolivia was paved a road that stretched past grassy fields and placed every few hundred feet there was a house and then a patch of woods with thin trees that stood high above everything else. But there was one house with a worker’s truck parked outside, then a SUV and a small black car. The house was two stories, with a family of four living inside. In the grassy backyard a slit formed in the air, it looked like a black line till it opened sideways like a mouth. A red haired man climbed out sneaky. The sun had vanished from the sky and was replaced by a brilliantly white moon that hung perfectly above the earth. Itazuki walked closely to the rear window, he peaked between the curtains and there lying on the bed was a girl. Dark skin with long braids wrapped up in a bun, she lied on her stomach with her feet up in the air, she was doing something on the floor but he couldn’t tell. Her beauty captivated Itazuki, the first girl in North Carolina that captured his eyes when he first saw her, was it love they had between each other. He waited a few more minutes, and then he tapped on the window. Startled, she jumped up and turned around and was frightened by Itazuki, he was something she had never seen, being unrecognizable. She opened the window, she knew then who was here.

“Rylan.” Her voice had a tone of disappointment. “What are you doing here? You know you’re not supposed to see me.” Itazuki sighed and then she said before he had a chance to speak. “Why are you wearing a red wig and wearing blue contacts.” She chuckled a bit. “It’s not a wig.”  Her head fell back in an odd laughter, “Uh yeah it is, your hair is not red and definitely not that long.” His hair flowed below his chin line. Itazuki just ignored her and said. “Oreana…Can I come him.” He began to step closer, but she placed her hand stopping him from entering. “No, my parents are home, what if they catch you.” Itazuki retorted back, “They won’t and I really need to tell you something, something important.”  Concern struck Oreana’s face; she then let him inside her room. Green, green, green, was the color predominant in her room. A force within himself cause him to reach over to and give her a hug, standing three inches above her, he slouched a bit. He felt her warmth, comforting him and sending away the fear bottled deep inside him.  He stepped away and sat on the edge of the bed, she then sat next to him wearing her gray sweats. But then she got up feeling the cold breeze outside and closed the window.
