As you step into Dan's apartment, you can hardly breathe. You know every inch of this place. In fact, you probably know it better than your own. You suddenly remember that you are absolutely dripping in mud "I'm sorry, I'm going to get your house all dirty, should I...?"
"That's okay!"He insisted "I know how to clean." He paused "Well, my roommate knows how to clean."
You laugh quietly as he leads you into the bathroom.
"So, um, would you want to take a shower or just change?" He rubs his arm awkwardly "I mean, you know, as you're covered in... yeah."
"A shower sounds pretty good actually." You realize you haven't thanked him yet "Thank you, by the way, my apartment is miles from here, I don't know what I would've done..."
"No problem!" He smiled "Least I could do. I'll go get you some clothes. You don't mind wearing mine? They're probably going to be all black."
"No, I don't mind at all. Thank you." You try desperately to hide your blushing.
"Right. I'll leave now." He walked out and closed the door.
As you shower, you can't get over the fact that you are in Daniel James Howell's actual shower, or in his actual apartment even. Right then, you think. What am I going to do about this? I could always say thank you, part ways and get away with some of Dan's clothes and an amazing experience. But, wouldn't it be even better if I could see him again? Even if it was just to return his clothes? Maybe I can even get his phone number...
By the end of your shower, you decide to pretend that you've never heard of him. You'll ask for his phone number so you can meet up and return his clothes, and maybe by then you'll be close enough to call him for other things. Maybe you could even meet up to do things together. Your heart raced again at the thought.
As you get out of the shower and dry off, you notice a stack of fresh, clean and very black clothes laid out for you on the counter. As you unfold the shirt, you see that it's none other than his famous lunar eclipse shirt, with what looks like a white, hollow circle in the center. Shocked, you part your mouth in awe. How could Dan give you a shirt so important?! You would have to return this to him. You quickly get dressed, and bite your lip. The clothes were incredibly big, as you are very short for your age. You shrug it off and peek out of the bathroom door anxiously.
Dan is sitting on his couch on his phone. You suddenly feel a rush of good old social anxiety. How exactly do you get his attention without appearing as if you want to? After standing in the hall like an idiot for around five minutes, he looks up and notices you "Oh! You're out."
You nod sheepishly, unable to look him in the eye.
He smiles widely and rubs his arm "So, um, I promised to buy you a new phone. Would you like to do that now? Or, I'm sure you actually have life, we can do it some other time."
"Oh, you don't need to-"
"Nonsense! I insist, really, it's one hundred percent my fault, I might as well."
"A-alright then..." You feel horrible taking his offer, but he didn't seem as if he was going to change his mind any time soon "I actually wasn't doing anything today, but I'm sure you're busy, so-"
"You are incorrect. Off we go!" He put an arm up in the air and walked to the door.
You blushed and bit your lip. What did you do to deserve this?
