Hey!
I'm back, I guess. I got a few comments asking to continue this, and I thought, what the heck, right?? I mean, with this recent drastic change in Dan's personality, look, branding, and even location, I figured I could probably do something fun with this. Leave suggestions/constructive criticism in the comments please. I'm a bit past doing this for me now, I haven't 'grown out' of Dan and Phil, but I feel slightly past writing DanxReader fanfics... but eh, it's not really fair to those of you that like this, so I'll do it for the few of you people out there that enjoy this. Welcome back! It'll mainly just be pushing us up a few months, since this was first written in October.

After you went out that night, everything seemed different. You and Dan began to hang out all the time. Before and after work, on weekends, and as weeks turned into months, it was too good to be true. Your life improved dramatically, and it seemed that his had too.
He had formally introduced you to Phil as his "good friend", and the two of you clicked immediately. Luckily for you, Phil was as sweet in person as he was on his channel, and the three of you got along famously. He was so welcoming and happy that you almost wanted to cry every time he opened up the door to greet you.
Dan didn't like to talk about his youtube fame, which was more than okay with you, you were just happy to get to know him as a person. He did rant to you about his brand new book a bit, Dan and Phil Go Outside, which was SO HARD for you to fangirl about in private, but you were able to keep it under the radar. Though he offered to get you early access, you insisted on buying it yourself the day it came out (though of course this meant arriving to Barnes and Noble an hour before it opened and rocking back and forth next to the door, waiting in the cold for it to open its doors).
It was soon 2017. And by soon, I mean it was New Years on this particular day, and Dan had invited you to his friend's party. The first hour or so was pleasant, and you remember having a good time. Because Dan and Phil are very introverted, you spent a lot of the time with them. Eventually Phil went off to spend some time with another person there, and you and Dan were there together. Alone.
You got nervous quickly.
"Soooo, ever been to a New Years party before?" You asked, sweating a bit.
Of course he'd been to a goddamn New Year's Eve party before. What the hell, y/n??!!
"Yes, actually," he laughed "as hard as it is to believe. Nothing exciting has ever happened to me during one, though."
"Wish I could say the same." You laughed nervously, "Late at night, champagne, mistakes get made often." You rubbed your arm, thinking about a party you had gone to a few years ago. A boy that your cousin has brought to the party had flirted with you a bit. Hours later, you had woken up next to him in bed with a horrible headache and very little memories of the night before. You never saw him again.
Dan creased his eyebrows sympathetically "Oh jeez, that sounds bad."
You shrugged and looked away, "It doesn't matter." You were feeling sort of nauseous. You ignored it.
He put his hand on your arm. You looked up at him.
"Hey, it's okay. The past is in the past."
Dan sighed gently "I'm not going to judge you for anything."You sorta smiled. He was really cute. "The past is in the passsst." You whisper-sung gently to the tune from Frozen.
"SHIT, NO!" He covered his face with his hand and laughed.
You began to laugh with him, until both of you were beginning to cry from laughing. Your nausea continued to grow, but you barely noticed. That is, until you began to spew chunks all over the floor. And by then, it was too late.
Dan had been sweet about the whole thing, other people from the party had run over and you went home with an uber.
You saw his tweet the next day about what he had done once you had left. He made one of those bead thingies. A Pokémon bead thing. You sulked for the rest of the day, knowing that you could've brought yourself to kiss him that night. Knowing that he might've even been okay with it.
You avoided Dan's texts for a few days, simply out of embarrassment, though he began to spam you like crazy when he realized what you were doing.
And thus, an awful start to 2017 began.
