You stepped into the common room filled with students. Parties weren't really your thing, but at least you got to hang out with the people you were quite comfortable with. Your feet started to wonder around the common room, looking for you friends, but got startled by a tap on your shoulder. 

"I was looking for you!", you announced to your good friend Lily as you turned on your heels to look at her. She placed her palm around your wrist and pulled you in-front of the fireplace. "What is going on, Lily? You're acting strangely". At first, you didn't get an answer - only a devious smirk and a slight movement of a head.

"Guess what I just happened to notice?"

"That you're asking a difficult question? I don't know, Lily. Tell me!"

"Well, when you when entered the common room - I wasn't the only one who spotted you right away..-". Lily had caught your attention with those words. Her sentences made you feel slight a bit confused. "-.. Sirius was flirting to this one girl, but when you walked in, he got completely distracted and surely forgot about the girl beside him. You know what this means, right?", your best friend spoke so enthusiastically.

"What? No, I don't know what means. Besides, so what, if he stopped flirting?"

"Firstly, Sirius doesn't just stop flirting with girl, at least, not without a valid reason ..-". She was correct. You knew only few things about Black, but that whole 'flirts with any good-looking girl' -thing had accrued to you. 

"- He clearly likes you, Y/N! A lot! And to be fair, you clearly like him too".

"I do not!"

"Oh, please, Y/N. Everyone in here knows, you to have some sort of thing for each other. And I bet, that if you look to your left right now, you can see him looking at you". Lily was so certain, that she didn't even have to turn her eyes away from you. But you on the other hand, rolled your eyes and looked to your left in disbelief. You hated to admit it, but your best friend happened to be correct - once again. 

Sirius had his eyes gazing at you whilst a stunning brunette was hovering all around him. Your eyes locked with his, but your friends voice made you turn your head back to her.

"See? I told you"

"Sure, you did, but it-"

"I'm sorry to stop your sentence, but I think he's coming over here. I'm going to.. go", Lily giggled and started waltzing away.

"No, no, no, don't go. Don't you dare leave me", you hissed at her, but again, only got a smirk from her. You acted annoyed, but in reality, you were quite terrified to even say a word to Sirius. Quickly, you turned on your heels only ending up bumping into the person you were willing to avoid the whole night.

"Sorry, Sirius", you mumbled as you lifted your eyes from your feet to his eyes. 

"It's okay". As you were about to walk away, a question sprinted out of your mouth.  

"Why were you staring at me?". For a strange reason, you were too nervous to keep looking at him - your eyes wandered back to your feet. 

"It's simple, I think you're beautiful. And I was wondering if you'd like to go to Hogsmeade with me on Sunday?". He spoke with confidence that confused you. Still, he sounded even a bit too confident which made you certain about the fact, that he was nervous as you were. 

"On a date? With you?", you glanced at him whilst raising his eyebrows.

"Yes, on a date-.. with me", Sirius smirked nervously.

"I'll have to bring my coat. And probably my scarf too - it might get cold, if you think abou-"

"Was that a yes?". He stopped you from rambling even more about something silly and extremely irrelevant. 

"Yes. I'd love to go on a date.. with you", you said with less tension and nervousness in your voice. "Oh, and I tend to start rambling about nonsense when I get nervous. So, sorry about that, Sirius".

"I thought it was quite adorable".
