You had just finished all your homework after a long day of double potions, Herbology and transfiguration and you were absolutely exhausted. You had changed into some leggings and an old white t-shirt with a grey beanie on top of your head. The weather was starting to warm up as the end of the year approached, but not enough that your ears didn't get cold. You were on your way down to the black lake to meet up with the marauders who had decided to skip their homework that day, after making you promise that you would see them once you had finished. You pulled your beanie lower over your ears and waved when they came into view. They were sitting by an old tree, laughing at something James was saying. Sirius nudged Remus, who glanced in your direction and smiled.

"Y/N!" Sirius greeted you. "Finally done with that potions essay that's due next week?" He asked, teasing you on your habit of finishing something the day it was assigned.

"I did Sirius thanks for asking! Now my weekend is completely free." You winked at him when he frowned. You sat down beside Remus and leaned your head on his shoulder out of pure exhaustion, letting out a small yawn. You didn't see it but all the marauders began to smirk at the werewolf. You did look up however when you heard James and Peter begin snickering.

"Okay what?" You snapped, staring them down. James and Peter immediately snapped their mouths shut, trying to look innocent by avoiding your glaring eyes. This had been happening more and more recently and you were getting annoyed at their odd behaviour. "Tell me what you're all smiling and laughing about right now or I swear I will tell McGonagall that you were the ones who gave her cat nip for Christmas." You threatened. The boys paled, they knew how livid McGonagall was on Boxing Day.

"Ask Moony!" James squeaked, grabbing Sirius' robes and signalling at Peter to follow him. They all ran off, Sirius glancing back and giving Remus a thumbs up, which just confused you more.

"You twats!" Remus called after them, standing and starting to chase them before stopping short and turning around to face you.

"Remus what is happening?" You questioned, exasperated. Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion, your eyes begging him to explain why everyone was acting like idiots. Remus took a few steps towards you, fiddling with his hands. He was standing right in front of you, looking anywhere but you. You waited patiently for him to talk. If they had done something to your cat you were going to kill them.

"Y/N look- it's hard to just come out and say this. I- I'm not really great at this kind of thing so please don't make fun of me." Remus stuttered out, still avoiding your gaze.

"Remus I wouldn't ever make fun of you, now please just tell me." You assured, trying desperately to make him look at you. "Please-" You started but you were cut off. Remus was kissing you. Remus was kissing you! You immediately shut your eyes, melting into him when his arms snaked around your waist to pull you closer to him. One of his hands moved up to your face and gently cupped the back of your neck, pulling you against him. You pulled back and bit your lip, trying to stop a giant grin from taking over your face.

"I should have done that a long time ago." He whispered and you could only nod in agreement. Your heart felt like it was about to explode. He was holding you so gently, but firmly enough to make sure you couldn't wander away from his touch.

"Yes, yes you should have." You giggled, wrapping your hands around his neck and pulling his lips back to yours.

"Yes Moony!" "Fuckin' finally!" You could hear the rest of the marauders cheering their friend on. Remus just smirked into the kiss before pulling your bottom lip between his teeth.
