Y/N rolled her eyes as she walked up the staircase. A certain Gryffindor was hard on her heels for the fifteenth time this week. His question was always the same.

"I said no, Sirius," she reiterated.

"Why?" he asked, "Why won't you go out with me? Do you think we wouldn't have fun?"

"You and I differ on the definition of 'fun'," she muttered.

Sirius groaned dramatically. "Would you slow down?"

Y/N huffed, tightening her grip on her textbooks. She pressed them further into her chest as she turned down a corridor. She cursed herself to see no other students around.

It wasn't that she didn't like Sirius. She found him rather attractive. It was more of the fact that he had several 'girlfriends' in the past, and she'd rather not be one of them. It only ended up in a poor, heartbroken girl crying in a bathroom. Heartbreak was something she tried to avoid at all costs.

Sirius gripped her wrist and pulled her to face him. She could see the slight desperation in his eyes. Or maybe it was an act...she couldn't be sure.

"Just one date," Sirius continued, "that's all I'm asking. If you still don't want to after that, then I'll back off."

"You've never backed off anything," she shot back, "Besides, it only takes one date to be the next girl bawling over a lost cause."

The Gryffindor's face fell. Dejected, he ran a hand through his hair. He stiffened while taking a step back. He kept his hurt gaze low. Y/N knit her brows in confusion.

"I...I guess I'll just live the rest of my life in the woods," he whispered sadly.

Y/N's eyes widened. She had never seen Sirius this upset before. Not even after when other girls had first rejected him.

"You're...You're not joking, are you?" Y/N queried, "You really want there to be an 'us'?"

Sirius nodded bashfully. "Why do you think I keep asking?"

"Well, to be fair, you don't have the best record with actual dating."

He smirked slightly. "Should've seen that coming."

Y/N knit her brows once more as she observed Sirius. Was it possible it wasn't acting? She had never seen him act like this. She took a timid step forward.

"You realize, if you do what you've done to those poor girls to me, I'm going to research, analyze, and test the best way to possibly kill you?"

His eyes shot up. "Wait...is that a yes?"

"Consider it a last minute recalculation," she replied with a smirk, "But I'm being serious."

He nodded. "You'd have every right to."

"I guess you're booked for Hogsmeade," she added slyly while continuing down the corridor.

"I guess I am."
