The Christmas Masquerade

**SPOILER ALERT!!! DB SUPER SPOILER within this chapter**

It was evening now, we already went for Christmas at Pan's. We were a bit tired by early evening.

"Katarina? Do we really need to go to this party?" Vegeta said, figiting with his tie.

"Yes, we were invited and Harmony would love to go to a masquerade." I said as I started to tie Vegeta's bow tie. He looked so handsome in a suit. I smiled as I finished with his tie and looked him over.

"Alright, I better check on the other two." I said as I walked out of the room and headed down the hall, my heels clicking on the wood floor.

I knocked on Harmony's door and there was my little girl. She had a red dress, red flats, her hair in combs, and her red and green mask on her face.

"How do I look, momma?" She said as she twirled in her dress, loving how she looked like a princess.

"You look so cute, darling!" I said, hugging her tightly.

"Your dad is ready. Now I got to check on Whis." I said as I let go of her. She nodded and ran off to probably find her dad.

I then went and knocked on Whis' door. He opened his door and smiled lovingly at me.

"Ah, Miss Katarina. You look beautiful tonight." He said. He was also in a suit. He didn't tie his tie either.

"You didn't tie your tie, Whis."
He nodded, blushing a bit and invited me in his room. I came in and started tieing his bow tie. It reminded me of my first Christmas with Whis...

"How do you tie this thing?" Whis asked me. I gave him a bow tie for Chistmas and he kept trying, but just couldn't get it.

I laughed a little as I started to tie his bow tie. He gazed at me, watching me. I looked back up, staring in his eyes. His beautiful lavender color eyes. He then drew me closer.

"You are such a angel, Lady Katarina. And I wish you could truely be mine." He whispered, then he kissed me. This kiss had that beautiful spark. A spark I hoped to never forget.

Whis took my hand and held it.

"We have been in this situation before, my dear." Whis said, which I didn't really mind that we were basically at that moment in time once again.

"It's fine, Whis. It's okay-" he gave me no time to finish. We kissed. I could still feel that beautiful spark I felt all those years ago. The spark was still there. That wonderful and beautiful spark.

He then stepped away. He had a sad look on his face.

"I am so sorry I did that. I know you have Vegeta. I don't know why, but I still have those feelings for you. No girl I have ever met has never been like you. You are one of a kind. I love you so much. I envy Vegeta. He got you. I only got the Lady Katarina that seemed broken." He said, tears in his eyes.

"Ever since we dated all those years ago, I have been yearning for you again."

"I understand... that's how I was with Vegeta... I am sorry I put you through this pain. I never thought this would happen." I said, holding Whis' hand. A single tear escaped.

"Don't cry. We knew it wouldn't work... I'm different from you."

"But you are so wonderful."

"But I am different, there was no way it would work."

"You are a angel." I said quietly and Whis nodded. He then tucked a lock of hair behind my ear and smiled at me.

"No matter what, I will always love you, Lady Katarina." He said as he kissed my forehead. I blushed and backed away.

"We better get going, Harm and Vegeta are waiting for us." I said and Whis nodded as we went out of the room.

We came down the stairs, myself in a red ball gown with green and gold trim. My hair was up with my guardian pin holding it up.

"You look beautiful!" All three looked at me, eyes wide. Vegeta had a smirk and Whis had a warm smile.

We were then on our way to Bulma Leigh's place. We were then greeted by many of our friends and relatives in masks.

"This looks like so much fun, momma!" Harmony said as she looked at everyone dancing away.

"Go ahead in join in the fun, Harm!"

She ran out on the dance floor, finding Goku and Vegeta Jr.

Vegeta then took my hand and twirled me onto the dance floor. Vegeta was dancing elegantly.

"I guess you learned how to ballroom dance when you were a kid."

"Yes, I have. I am a prince after all." Vegeta said as we danced the night away.

It was a very merry Christmas.
