Julie was like a bull in a china shop, destroying everything in her pathway. I guess it didn't really mater, we were only trekking for medical supplies that day but I still felt kind of bad when she kicked a stuffed animal down a flight of stairs, that would have been a childs... once. however I let her have little rampage around whilst I had stuffed anything useful into a tattered old burlap backpack.

"Ugh, Julie's can you pass me those, on the top shelf." I had said pointing to a box of painkillers and some bandages. that was the last straw for Julie.

"No. no I will not pass you anything! you wanna know why?"she had screeched.

"Not really" I had mumbled to low for her to notice.

"It's because I am fed up of people walking all over me! taking advantage of me, I'm a nice person or at least I try to be, but it's kind of hard not to get pissed at people when you've spent all morning blowing corpse brain all over your only clean shirt!" She had been out of breath by now.

"Hey it's okay Juls, everyone feels the same." I dropped the backpack and placed my hand over hers.i

"I'm really starting to understand why my mother left." She had mumbled through clenched teeth. I of cause had been more than shocked, I mean hadn't she always blamed things on her mothers absence? Before I could have responded she spoke again.

"My dad. he's the reason. he really is Nora! He treats me as a solider, not a daughter! he sends me and you out here without blinking and eye, not a second thought. And for what? some bandages and a box of paracetamol!" she had been shouting now and my efforts to make her quiet hadn't done a thing. She continued her little heated speech,"all the while he's tucked up in his study going over some useless paper plans!" at this point her shouts had attracted some definitely unwanted attention. we were fine of course or we wouldn't be here now would we. we wouldn't have been sent out again just a week later, she wouldn't have found R and things would be just how they had been ...awful.

We make our way back into Julie's house and go into her lounge, a small room with no chairs might I add, she was still visibly angry at what had happened down at the orchard.

"Don't worry about it Julie. there's nothing he can do to R, you know that."

She looked up at me from her position on the floor and tears rimed her eyes, Julie never cried. I knew now would be no different.

"Is that what's bo-othering you Julie? you thing something will happen to me?" R turned to face Julie and placed his hand over hers. the simple gesture was enough for Julie, she broke. the tears started thick and fast as she buried her head into her knees.

"I just can't stand to lose anyone else! especially someone I care so much about, an your, your just so fragile R. I mean you can't even eat properly yet!"she cried out between sobs. I watched on as R took Julie in his arms and let her cry onto his shoulder. I had known Jules for so long and still couldn't quite grasp the fact she was so upset. I ever see that man in the orchard again! I was about to make one I my smart remarks when there was a knock at the door I stand and go to answer it. There on the step, out of breath stood Cassidy. just great!

" Nora. hospital.NOW." I leave without sating goodbye to the others.
