"I'm ready. Now what's the plan-?"
Caspian shushed me and grabbed the knife I had in my hand. "No way. You are not coming with."

I scoffed. "You're hilarious, brother. Now give me my knife back."

"No, no, no. You are not going. You'll get hurt, killed! I won't let that happen." Caspian insisted.

If only he knew of my ice powers. But I couldn't tell him. It was too risky.

"Caspian," I argued, "you've taught me how to weld a sword. I've known how to fight since I was a little girl. Father didn't just teach you, he taught me as well, and the rest I've learned from you. I can handle myself."

My brother sighed. "It's too dangerous, (Y/N). What if something happens?"

"I'll protect her."

Edmund's voice was startling. What was even more surprising was the sincerity in his voice. Caspian and I looked towards the Just King.

Edmund stepped closer to me. "Caspian, if I may say, (Y/N) has killed a full grown bear with her bare hands. And, if she does need any help, I'll be of assistance, immediately."

Caspian didn't say anything for a while. He looked between Edmund and I for a second, then sighed.

"Please, Caspian. I can do this." I pushed, pleading.

"I won't let anything happen to (Y/N). I promise," Edmund added.

I bit my lip, hoping Caspian and Edmund wouldn't see my blush.

My brother sighed again, then answered. "Alright. But you must be careful-"

"I will!" I promised, grabbing the knife back.

Edmund and I were carried quietly by griffins up to the tallest of the Telemarine castle towers. When we dropped, Edmund quickly took out the lone guard while I checked the nearby corridor.

"Clear," I whispered.

Then, Edmund pulled out a shining, silver cylinder. I was puzzled by the strange item.

"What is that?" I asked, hestitantly reaching to touch it.

Suddenly, the thing emited some sort of incredibly bright light. I jumped back, in fear of the heat the strange flame might cause.

Edmund stifled a laugh. "It's just a torch, (Y/N), see?"  The light suddenly shut off.

I stayed back. Heat doesn't mix well with ice.

"Come on, don't be scared." Edmund grabbed my hand and forced me to put the 'torch' in my palm. "See, it's okay. It's just a really shiny torch."

"Well," I huffed, "That's...interesting. You can hold onto it."

An arrow landed next to my shoulder, on the stone tower wall.

"We've got company." Edmund bravely pulled out his sword and we jumped towards the corridor, where three soldiers were waiting for us. To my surprise, I recognized one of them - He was one of the disgusting soldiers who watched me change.

"Aren't you a sight for sore eyes," he licked his lips and rushed at me. I slashed at him, but he blocked with his own blade. We continued to fight, when suddenly two more guards came rushing up the steps.
