6 Months Later
I was doing much better than Caspian.
He still never came out of his room.  Only a few servants saw him, just to bring him food and fresh clothes.
He even refused to see me - he didn't want me to see him so vulnerable.

I was doing...okay.
Everyday, the light from Edmund's torch warmed my heart.  I knew he would return.
He promised.
Aslan promised.

After a month, I was able to leave my room without breaking down.  My appetite had finally gotten back to normal.

After two months, I started taking on my role as queen.  It was hard without Caspian, so I couldn't make big decisions like appointing new officers and such.

I started the work on the castle grounds, to freshen the gardens and redecorate so the castle wasn't so dark and grim.  Soon, the new colors were crisp gold and red, instead of the previous black and grey.
The gardens flourished with colorful flowers and the streets were cleaned and renovated, rejuvenated to the beautiful quaint city it was.

After four mouths, I made my first public appearance, speaking to my lovely subjects from a high balcony on the castle.

After five months, I began training for my status as a diplomat to other kingdoms.  That was the hardest, but I tried as hard as I could to remain steadfast and loyal to my country, while also being fair to the other countries.

After six months, Caspian finally came out of his room and started to get back to his normal life.  We had breakfast together each day, then I sent him to train for his role of King.  He had a lot of catching up to do.  He never smiled anymore, though.

1 Year Later
Caspian and I had appointed new officials for our cabinet and court.  The guards were starting new training for the army to get back to their good, just roots.

We had finally finished our diplomat training, and began to plan political balls and trips.

1 and a Half Years Later
Narnia was flourishing.

Caspian and I were ruling under Aslan's unseen guidance and rules.  We had street festivals every month, filling the streets with color, music, and laughter.

Caspian had been approached by lords, ladies, dukes, duchesses, as well as other kings and queens. They all wanted their daughter to be the next Mrs. Caspian.

No one ever replaced Susan in Caspian's heart, and he always turned down their offers.

He would send long, polite letters, always ending with the same sentence.
"There is only one woman who I will remain ruling with; my sister, her Royal Majesty Queen Y/N.  My sincerest apologies."

Some princes and lords tried to win over my heart.  They were all attractive and polite (for the most part).  A few of them were memorable...

There was Malachi, a gentleman from an Eastern kingdom.  His skin was dark and he wore gold face paint.  He was very charming and funny, but told me straight out he knew of Edmund and didn't want to replace him in my life.  We spent the courting session riding horses through the Narnia woods, joking the whole time.  We didn't have a second session, but have remained close friends.

There was Jettsem, a blonde muscular boy who was quite shy and reserved.  We knew we weren't right for each other, and spent the whole day gushing to each other about our significant others: Edmund and Jettsem's girlfriend Oriya - a peasant baker's daughter.  They were having a secret relationship, and we spoke uncensored about the trials of not being able to see our S.O.
