Christmas Cheer

            The weeks flew by with Christmas fast upon us. I was beyond worried if whether or not Roxas would like my gift. It was sad that my so called father hasn’t been caught yet, and there hasn’t been any site of him. Though let’s not let that get us down it is the holiday season. Its early Christmas morning and I was laying in bed cuddling up with Roxas. I was awake just cuddling to Roxas not moving just watching Roxas peacefully sleeping. As much as I loved to look at Roxas period I couldn’t help but have my mind drift off. I worried about was what my so called father was planning. Was he really out to get me and my love ones or just me? Is Roxas really better off without me, so he’s safe? My thought process was interrupted, “Axel?” Roxas said as he woke. Snapping out of my thoughts I smiled down at Roxas saying “Good morning and Merry Christmas love.” “Are you okay Aku you looked worried and scared?” Roxas asked. “Nothing to worry about love.” I said not saying the right now I wanted to say. “You sure?” “Yes, besides its Christmas.” I said with a smile. Roxas just smiled back at me, but his blue pools told me we would be talking about it another day. “Love birds!” Tony yelled from downstairs. “Seems like Tone wants us to hurry up, so he can open presents.” I said getting up. As I was going through my clothes Roxas said “Axel” “Ya?” I asked still going through my clothes. “Can you just wear some shorts for me?” Roxas asked hopefully and nervous. I froze up cause I’ve never worn anything but long selves, jeans, and fingerless gloves to hide all my scars. Just pants, shorts for the matter, is something I haven’t done since well before my mother died. “Aku?” Roxas asked coming up behind me placing his hand on my shoulder. “Why?” I asked. I needed to know why my gorgeous, shining Roxas wanted to see my ugly body. As if sensing my thoughts Roxas said “Cause your beautiful, sexy person Axel. I love you, and I hate how you think your body is a disgrace.” I looked at Roxas in shock. How did he know? “I know you too well Axel. You’re my soul mate and I want you to realize how gorgeous you truly are no mater how many scars. They just show how strong and brave you are. I love you for your personality not your looks. Your scars just show your personality to others.” Roxas said love shining bright and clear in his blue orbs. I was breathless at the love Roxas had for me, and at those words I knew I would do what Roxas ask me.

ROXAS POV

I watched as Axel slowly made his way into the bathroom. Waiting with bided breath to see if Axel was gonna grant my request. Not even 10 minutes later Axel exited the bathroom in only a pair of black shorts and he was wearing his necklace with a chakram, a picture of us, and my two key blades on his neck that I gave him. Nothing else was adored on his body. With a wide smile I placed my hands on Axel’s bare chest shivering slightly at the heat that always radiated off Axel’s body. I ran my hands lovingly over the various scars that littered the pale spans of Axel’s muscled chest. Axel’s hands moved up from my ass to my waist pulling me to him. Wrapping my arms around Axel’s neck I locked our eyes. “Thank you love.” I said. “I would do anything for you love.” Axel said leaning down to lock our lips in a gentle passionate kiss. Then the door was slammed open and Tony came barging in with Danny yelling “ Okay love birds stop all the love making its Christmas, and I wanna open presents!” Axel and I slowly pulled apart and looked at Tony. I could feel my face heat up in a blush at Tony’s words. “Okay Tone we get it.” Axel said reluctantly unwrapping me from his arms. “Dude what happened to you?” Danny asked taking in all the scars he saw on Axel’s body. “Father.” Axel stated calmly, too calmly at that, walking out of the room. “What?” Danny asked as Tony and I glared at Danny with a look screaming you just crossed a line. “Try not to bring up the memories Dan. Its supposed to be a happy day today.” Tony said. After that no other words were spoken, and with that we all made our way downstairs.

AXEL’S POV

Sitting on the couch downstairs in front of the present laid Christmas tree. Not even minutes later. Roxas, Tone, and Danny walked in. Tony was grinning like a manic, when isn’t he, yelling “Present Time!!” I chuckled lightly at Tony’s antics. Roxas then dropped down in my lap, and my arms automatically wrapped around Roxas. “You okay Aku?” “I’m fine Roku, and its Christmas a time of happiness. Grab some of our presents love before Tone goes nuts.” I said giving Roxas a quick peck on the check. With a wide smile Roxas hopped out of my arms and down to join Tony in separating the gifts. “Okay who should go first?” Danny asked once he was sure Tony and Roxas were done. “Me! Me!” Tony shouted like a 5 year old. “Okay Tone bud we get it. You go first.” I said chuckling. “Yes!” Tony cheered jumping to it. Tony ended up getting a fancy outfit from Danny (who said “Now you can finally update your wardrobe” which Tony replied “no thank you Dan I happen to like my outfits.”) and a joint gift from me and Roxas of a brand new flat screen 70” TV (“Now you can feel your at the theater.” I said which got hugs from Tony to Roxas and me. “Ya that wasn’t easy to hide at all.” Roxas said.). “Danny your turn!” Tony said. “Got it Tony.” Danny said laughing as Tony ate himself into a sugar high. From Tony Danny got a pair of tube socks (“Now you can try the wonders of tube socks!” Tony said. “Ya in your dreams kid.” Danny said throwing the tube socks at Tony.), a How to Cook for Dummies book from Roxas (“You trying to tell me something Roxas? Danny asked when he saw the present. “Ya learn to cook.” Roxas replied grinning.), and finally a set of fancy new ties from me. “Roxas your next.” I said. “You sure Aku?” “Yes love I’m positive.” I said. Roxas ended up getting black and white checker board sweat band with a new Ipod decorated with his Keyblades from Tony and Danny. I got Roxas a large thing of sea salt ice cream, the first book of my new manga series Kingdom Hearts (About our past life as nobodies from Sora and our point of view different series go through a different point of view the main being Sora and then Mine and Roxas.), photo album of our life together, and a detailed locket with a picture of Roxas and I together that Riku took inside. “Aku. Thank you.” Roxas said hugging me tightly. When Roxas finally let go Tony dropped one of my presents into my lap saying “Your last bud. Now come on open them.” “Okay Tone. Just tone it down with the sugar.” I said laughing as Tony acted like a child jumping up and down showing how much sugar he’s eaten. Which is way too much though oh well its Christmas. From Tony I got a new set of high end ink pens to use on making my manga series, and from Danny a silk black with flames tie. Roxas had then given me my gift from him. Opening it up I found a gorgeous silver chain with black flames engraved on the chain. “It’s gorgeous Roku.” I said shocked and touched by the gift. “I wanted to get you a new a chain for you necklace since the one you got is rusting and falling apart.” Roxas said. “Then get over here and help me change it out and put it on.” I said taking off my necklace and switching the old rusted chain that Riku gave me long ago with the new one. Though this chain had something else special about it that will only be known between me and Roxas, and that is that on the chain engraved in was 813 small. “Merry Christmas!” Tony yelled and with that the rest of the day was spent with us laughing and making the best of our circumstances.

As night came upon us I moved towards Roxas after dinner. “Axel?” Roxas asked confused as I grabbed his wrist. “I’ve got one more present for you love.” I said dragging Roxas to our room. Roxas looked at me confused as why I didn’t give it to him earlier. “This gift had to wait till the right time for me to give it to you.” I said pushing Roxas into the desk chair as I moved to the desk and opened up my laptop.

ROXAS’S POV

I stayed seated as I watched Axel confused as he typed away at something on his computer. “Axel?” I asked my confusing hitting a peak as Axel stopped typing and seemed to be looking at something. Axel just smiled at me and stepped aside giving me a clearer view of the laptop screen . I gasped in shock cause there on the screen was none other than a grinning Sora on Skype. “Sora!?” I said beyond shocked and happy. “Bro!” Sora yelled happily. “Merry Christmas bro.” I said smiling at Sora. “Back at you bro. Wish you could be here.” Sora said. “Me too, but its for mine and Axel’s safety that this has to be done.” I said. “I know but its not easy.” Sora said. “Well cheer up soon Axel’s so called father will be caught and we’ll be home. Its Christmas so no sadness be happy bro, and I wanna know what you got.” I said, and with that Sora went off talking about everything that he got and what’s happened.

AXEL’S POV

I stayed to the side to allow the two brothers talk and a good 2 hours later they said good-bye and hanged up. Then not even a minute later Roxas tackled me in a tight hug. “Thank you!” Roxas yelled burying his face in my chest. “Anything for you love.” I said wrapping Roxas in my arms. Roxas just smiled brightly at me burying his head in my chest. As the moon hanged high in the black blanket of night my love and I laid curled up together happy and unaware of what was to come in less than a months time.

NO ONE’S POV

“For now enjoy your holidays come February your mine.” a dark familiar voice said from the roof of the building a crossed Tony’s place. With that said he vanished into the night.
