The Ring and New Friend

ROXAS’S POV

“Danny.” I asked walking up to him early in the morning. “Ya Roxas?” Danny asked sipping his coffee a bit. “I could use your help.” “With what?” “I wanna surprise Axel but I need your help Danny to pick up some stuff.” “Well okay but if we go. I bring my gun.” Danny said holstering his gun and standing up. “That’s fine as long as you have your badge visible as well. I will bring my keyblades if it helps.” I said knowing this was dangerous and I needed to be prepared. Once outside and down the street a bit Danny looked at me for a bit. “Okay now where are we heading?” I smirked knowing Danny had no idea what I was gonna drag him into. “This way.” I said dragging Danny along into a local gothic like store. “Oh no.” Danny groaned making me snicker. “Welcome!” The cashier said as we enter. I smiled nicely at the cashier lady, who was a teenage red head woman. I then dratted straight to a glass case full of an assortment of different silver jewelry. Seeing that the cashier walked over to me and asked “Is their something your looking for?” I looked up reading her nametag that said Aideen. “Ya a ring.” I said blushing. “Ooh so whose the lucky someone?” She asked with a smile. I pulled out my wallet to show her the picture I had of me and Axel. The picture it self was s look at each other with pure love at sunset. “Aaahhhh that’s so sweet. You two belong together, so your going to propose?” “Ya I just don’t know what ring to get him.” I admitted since having started the search after Valentines day. I’ve come up empty handed and seeing this store I got hopeful that the elusive ring was there. “Well let me help. Is their anything he loves?” “uuummm well he is a big time pyro. Not one of those crazy pyros but he loves fire with a passion.” “I bet his love for you out weighs anything else.” She said with a fond smile. I couldn’t help but blush again. “Ya. He keeps telling me he loves the color of my eyes. That sadly nothing could compare to its color.” “Hhhhmmm I think I have just the thing.” She said smiling. With that she move down the glass case opening it up and pulling out a black ring box. “Here try this.” She said setting the ring box in front of me. Stealing myself I opened it up. What face me took my breath away. Sitting there nestled in red velvet of the box was the prefect ring. The ring was a sterling silver base with flames running along the bottom of the run reach up with the flames being a startling blue (like my eyes). “Oh my- Its perfect.” I said choking up with tears. “I’m glad this ring been sitting in this shop for years. Never seen a ring like it before since that ring  just appeared here. Since then its been waiting for the perfect person to bring it home. I believe it was waiting for you to bring home to your love.” I just smiled up at her once I had composed myself enough. “How much?” “Oh dear just 100 for you.”  “What? Really but this is real silver and those flames are made of a real jewel. Its got to be worth way more.” I said shock. “Oh no dear even if that is all true. You don’t have to worry. I own this shop and I want you to have it. Since I can tell from you that you won’t accept the ring for free please just allow me to have you pay for it so cheaply. The love you share with your love is rare.” She said with a genuine smile. Knowing she wouldn’t take no for an answer handed over a 100 bucks for the ring. “Thank you so much.” I said sliding the ring into the inside pocket of the jacket I was wearing. To A keep close to my chest and B to ensure Axel didn’t see it till it was time. Just about to leave when I thought of something. “Hey Aideen.” “Yeah?” “Mind of I give your number to a friend of ours?” Aideen looked confused and Danny smirked getting my line of thought. “Sure I guess are you trying to set me up on a date?” “A bit but I think if it didn’t work out you two will get along.” “Okay fine. Though for your knowledge I’m a 25 year old Marine of 7 years on leave for now.” She said handing over a piece of paper with her cell number and email. “Also you need anything give me a call. I can just tell we will get to be great friends.” “Thanks.” With that I took my leave after giving Aideen my own number and email as well as Tony’s. Call it a gut feeling if you must but I just knew befriending Aideen will one day be a close friend. Once outside Danny turned to me and asked “You get what you needed?” “Yep” I said grinning showing him the ring. “Oh nice he’s gonna love it.” “Ya I can’t wai-“ I couldn’t finish what I was saying. Since right then a large black van screeched to a halt beside us and 3 men in black jumped out. Danny immediately pushed me behind him drawing his gun yelling “Police!!” The firearm didn’t faze them as they drew their own guns. With Danny being horribly out number and out armed I stepped back a bit enlarging my keyblades without anyone noticing.  I was prepared to back Danny up should things start to get ugly. Lucky us I had recently befriended Aideen, who seeing the commotion had snatched her marine gun and ran out to back us up. I could see her snarling as she stalked towards us. Then suddenly I felt a heavy hit to my temple. “URG!” I let out as I collapsed only to be caught by a man from behind me. That man turned out to be none other then Axel’s bastard of a father. As I slowly passed out the last thing I saw was those men jumping to attack Danny and Aideen  and felt myself be carried away. The last thought I had was of Axel. How worried and scared he was gonna be. How his father was gonna use me to get Axel. I feared for Axel more then myself.
