Drew's POV:
Laying in this hotel bedroom has me more than content right now. This is honestly the best sleep I've had in this hotel for the past 3 weeks. I slowly sat up, to only be pushed back down. I looked down at the arm wrapped around my waist and smiled gently. Hugging the body closer to me, I sat and stared at the person for a moment.
So beautiful.
"Stop staring at me and go back to sleep." The beautiful voice mumbled from my chest.
"I cant stare at my beautiful wife?" I chuckled, kissing Darai's forehead.
"Not at 3 a.m. Go back to sleep, the kids are gonna be up in a few hours."
"Alright, baby. I'll try." I smiled, closing my eyes.
I tried to fall back asleep, but I couldnt. I gently unwrapped Darai from me, and checked on my children. They were both sound asleep in the cribs the hotel provided for us. Knowing they are alright, I made my way out of the bedroom and into the kitchen area. I grabbed a water bottle from the fridge and sat at the table. My mind was still racing from the events that happened less than 5 hours ago.
*Flashback*
I was getting ready for bed in this stupid hotel room. Darai still didnt want me home, and I had to oblige with her request.
Even though I wanted to come home, I had to respect her. She is my wife, and I'll do anything to get her to forgive me. Even if it means sleeping here for another week. Or another month. Or however long Darai wanted me to stay out of the house.
I was about to fall asleep, when my phone started to buzz a significant amount of times. Before I could even pick up the phone, the phone started to ring. Curious, I picked up and looked at it.
It was Darai.
Why would she be calling me at 11 p.m.? 3
"Hello?" I answered, hesistant.
"Drew, oh my God. Come home NOW. Oh my God." Darai is sobbing into the phone.
I got up, not knowing what is going on. "What's going on? What's wro-"
"Deion is MISSING, Drew! I cant find him anywhere! Oh my God..." She cried.
Right then, my heart stopped. I raced to my suitcase, and grabbed a pair of sweats and a sweatshirt. I threw on some shoes, and grabbed some car keys.
"Rai, calm down for a minute. Where was he last?"
"In his crib, where else?! It's 11 at night! He's only 6 months, he cant walk!" I ignored her yelling, and left the hotel room.
"Okay, please try to stay calm... Where is Damisi??"
"In my arms... I went to check on them, and Deion's bed was empty. What if something happened, Drew... What if someone is harming my baby? Where could he be?!" I knew this was the start of Darai having a panic attack.
"Baby, calm down! Stay strong for Misi, I'm almost at the house." I was trying to be strong, even though I'm scared shitless right now.
Where is my son? Who has my son? Better question, WHY would someone take my son?!
I made it to the house in less than 10 minutes. Not even bothering to turn the car off, I jumped out running into the house.
"Rai?!" I called out, frightened.
Darai came from around the corner with tears in her eyes and a screaming Damisi in her arms. She looked drained and Damisi looked fairly cranky. I bet she was cranky. She was suddenly woken up to mayhem she knows nothing about.
