Daria's POV:
It has been 5 months since the babies were born, and 2 months since Drew went back to work. If I'm being completely honest, I am exhausted. Taking care of two kids is a lot of work. Thankfully, Maria and Raul help out whenever they can. Usually, they're stuck cleaning up after all the mess I make when I'm taking care of the kids. I always feel so bad that they have to clean up after me. I should be able to cook, clean, and take care of my children all at once. Sadly, I cannot, and I always need their help.
"Darai, baby... Why don't you go take a nap? I'll look after the children." Maria called to me, walking into the livingroom where I was.
"No can do, Maria. I have been driving you and your husband crazy with all the helping me around the house. The least I can do is take care of my own children." I didn't want to overwork Maria and Raul. They are too much like family.
"Nonsense, I took care of Drew and his brother while keeping taking care of my own children. I cleaned that house AND keeping my own home in order." She smiled at me.
"No, Maria. I can do it. Thank you for offering. You should go on home, I've got it from here."
"Are you sure, Rai? You look completely drained." The truth is, I was. But, I wasnt going to let her do all of this on her own. That wasn't the type of person I was.
"Positive. Go on, I'll be fine. Thank you so much for helping today." I grinned at her.
Maria nodded, and went to find her husband and collect her things. As soon as Maria was about to open the door, Drew came in with a little pile of snow on this shoulders.
"Hi, my baby!" Maria squealed, going over to kiss his cheeks.
"Hey Mumma. Why are you leaving so soon?" He asked.
"Darai said we can leave. I tried to stay and help, but she said she didn't need any. But we should get on going. We'll see you tomorrow, baby. Goodbye Darai!" Maria called over her shoulder.
I told her goodbye as well, and got up to meet Drew.
"Hey baby," I gave him a kiss on the cheek, and helped him out of his jacket. "How was work?"
"Tiring. It was a long day and so much to do. Someone also keeps leaving me shit in my office and I want to know who the hell it is." He ranted on.
"Aww, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm pretty sure it isn't that big of a deal. You'll figure it out soon." I tried to cheer him up.
Drew scoffed at me. "Yeah. Whatever. I'm going to bed. I'm exhausted." He headed towards the stairs.
What the hell is his problem?
"Uh... Aren't you going to see the babies or at least help me?" I asked.
"Darai, I had a long day at work. I just want to rest. You'll be fine. You said they weren't an issue, anyways." He said, not even turning around to face me.
I sighed. I guess this is another night of this. Drew has been in this funk for days now. He comes home and doesn't want to help me with the kids. I understand that he is tired, but so am I. I am completely exhuasted and I need help. I didn't make these children on my own. It's very selfish of him to be like this towards me.
I hung up his coat, and searched through his pockets to see if he left anything in there. I usually go through his coat pockets because Drew always leaves something in there that he needs like his cellphone, chapstick, headphones, or the car keys. He always loses the damn keys.
As I'm searching the pockets, I stop when I feel something weird. I reach further, and grab ahold of something... Lace? I pull out the object, and it's a pair of lace panties.
